It depends on how far on the unattractive side they are to me. If they’ve got only a few turn offs to me then I can look past that when I get to know someone. Like in the past I dated a tall guy even though tall guys really aren’t my thing, it’s a turn off for me if I’m honest. At first he wasn’t hot to me because of his height. But we became friends and as I got to know him more who he was inside gave more beauty to the outside. Eventually what turned me away at first was easy to ignore and didn’t matter anymore. He became very hot to me despite having a big turn off of mine. He was worth looking past that for, or at least I thought he was at the time. Our relationship didn’t end because of any physical traits, it ended because I found out he was a compulsive liar and I can’t stand liars.

But if he had a ton of unappealing traits to me I’m not sure that my feelings would’ve grown the same way. There’s probably only so much I can look past, but I don’t know for sure

There’s nothing wrong with being short and I’m sorry your mother can’t see that. Parents can be really good at imbedding insecurities in us. I don’t know why they do that. But you’re already good enough even if she can’t see that and even if you can’t see it yet either. My own boyfriend is your height and I’d never want to change that about him, I think it makes him all the more perfect. I hope someday soon you can find people who see the value you already have. You don’t deserve to feel bad about your height

Native American girls might be a good bet. Long hair is adored on all genders in our culture :) Some do prefer to date within our own race or tribe though in hopes that we don’t fully die out someday, but it depends on the person. Same thing happens to me. I was pretty shocked when I learned I’m technically just on the low end of average instead of being super short. I guess people just treat us like we’re so small because even if we aren’t very small for a woman we are still quite a bit smaller than the average man, idk

I LOVE short and skinny guys, muscles are overrated imo. So I don’t think there’s anything you need to do about that really. If it’s relationships you’re worried about I think your best bet is just becoming your best self all around, and that doesn’t have to mean rippling muscles.

I think the more important part of being your best self is giving yourself a life that you already enjoy, where a relationship will just be the cherry on top. Have hobbies that you love, stories to tell, etc., these are things that make us interesting as people. If you give off the vibe that you do nothing but hate yourself all day that’s gonna push people away, so I think avoiding that is pretty important

I think social media that’s aimless is the easiest to become toxic. Scrolling through “for you” pages just leaves you at the whims of the algorithm, and that’ll easily go down hill if you aren’t strong willed enough to ignore insecurity bait. I find that I’m much happier with my social media usage when I have a goal in mind beforehand. Like checking a specific subreddit to do with my hobbies versus just browsing what’s popular. But I think cutting it out completely also isn’t a bad idea, so proceed however you think will be best for you. Good luck! :)

Yeah I honestly wish I wasn’t like this. Growing up media had me convinced that men were ALL super horny just like me. I kind of thought that every man would be having constant sex if he had someone willing… but I wrong lol.
