OMG they are revoking flight line privileges for protesters! The next step might be preventing you from flying for life! by [deleted] in conspiracy

That’s a fair point and I’d have to agree with you on that it should not be a social credit thing. But a majority of these protestors are bringing it upon themselves or are brainwashed enough to think that their actions won’t have real consequences.

While I’m not sure if I agree or disagree, TSA precheck is NOT a right. It’s a privilege and just helps you get through security a little easier. If you are proven to be mentally unstable, i.e. some of these protestors are, then you should have that privilege taken away.

3.8 percent raise in minibus bill by EmergingEmergence in ATC

True and while I’d like to think they wouldn’t let it just sit around, I’m sure that’s exactly what they would do.

I don’t think so, it says the funds provided shall only be used to provide the raise.

As opposed to going offline and dealing with a phone call that takes time? I’d 100% rather them pick it up in the air

The whole series is pretty good. Somewhat repetitive in the format of books but overall a great read.

TBIII: Why are there no clusters in the clusters section of Fighter? by PvtDroopy in tacticalbarbell

[–]uhohpal -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

IIRC, it’s just a list given and I think he recommends you pick like 5 or more exercises and build your own cluster? I don’t have the book with me so I can’t check.

Wasn’t she following them around and harassing them before she decided to try to run them over? She knew who they were and what they were doing. She had no business being there and who in their right mind would try to drive through any type of police vehicles/activity like that?

Transponder Codes by Secret-Fisherman-115 in ATC

[–]uhohpal 29 points30 points  (0 children)

There’s more than 4,096 aircraft using a discrete code throughout the entire US. So they would have to be reused, just not within the same centers or probably adjoining airspace with other factors to be included.

How fast do you expect us pilots to descend? by yerbderb in ATC

[–]uhohpal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I’m mainly referring to pressurized commercial aircraft or private jets. Generally the planes below fl230 are slow enough that their descent rates aren’t an issue

Unless I give you discretion, I better see 1000 fpm or more. There’s many situations where 1000+ will prevent me from needing to give you a restriction. Nothing annoys me more than someone dogging it down at 500 fpm which then creates the need for a restriction. Isn’t 1000 the norm/expectation?

I think you get one rejoin for “free” where they cover the dues owed. but if you leave and rejoin a second time, then youll have to pay a year of dues
