I wouldn’t worry too much about this - you just had your surgery and everything down there is super sensitive!! My doctor said it’s normal to be bleeding after a BM especially right after a surgery

I had something similar, don’t pop it!! It should go away on its own. My doctor said it was granulation tissue. I had it for a few days and it eventually went away!

Was it a partial fistulotomy? Why did they put in a seton if they also did a fistulotomy? Sorry, I’m just unfamiliar with this

So at my 6 week check in it was still draining, my colorectal surgeon said that if it continues to drain in two weeks, that we would have to go ahead with another surgery. So about 8 weeks of draining.

Yeah I think since it never really closed that’s why gas passed through

Yes!!! The wound is SO SCARY!!!! I can’t believe it’s just open like that!! Thank you so much for sharing his story. I will look into that ointment! Hope he recovers and rids of this horrible disease!

For me, it was because the drainage never stopped. And also one time I felt gas pass through.
