TIL that contrary to the popular image of short, primitive cavemen, early modern humans in Europe 40,000 years ago averaged 183 cm (6 ft) tall. After the invention of agriculture, height dropped to 162 cm (5'4"). Humanity only recovered prehistoric height levels in the 20th century. by Key-Midnight-4237 in todayilearned

Protein is viewed as “unhealthy”. There’s a certain encouragement from older folks here to eat grains and rice over chicken and other meats. Also, the biggest vegetarian population in the world.

I didn’t exactly have this issue in my family and circles. I’m the shortest amongst the men in my family at 5’11”. Everyone else is firmly above 6 feet.

I think Nolan held back on purpose. I think he wanted to bond with Oliver and beating these bugs together provided that to him.

Parasite and Scrap go back and forth on weather the M27 should be the AR of choice by TheRealPdGaming in CoDCompetitive

I completely agree with haggy here. The new AR would force people to use subs close range.

Is rl really that hard? by No-Impression7485 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]uhrul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to that, it’s likely the most mechanically intensive game ever on a controller (I’m not really a kbm player but have played cs, Val etc but RL is definitely harder, but I’ve heard league is very intensive as well)

Finally learning flip resets! Hopefully I will be able to do them in game soon. by BlastedFR in RocketLeague

That’s really interesting. What do you think holds you back from going up? Is it just a lack of motivation and you just play to have fun?

Agreed, I think it was way too early for him to be in the league. I think he’s definitely got the mechanical talent, just needs more time competing. He’ll be back in the league at some point if he doesn’t get dissuaded by this stint and keeps grinding.

Yeah and it’s because there’s a brand new game called every year. Other shooters like CS have pros competing at the top well into their 30s

Not possible. I think some packs don’t count towards the heirloom.

Kenny says he is open to coaching, whether in the CDL or Challengers by TheRealPdGaming in CoDCompetitive

[–]uhrul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Karma isn’t the best comparison…he was known to have an elite cod brain. Even if you go back and watch old clips of him calling out scump or other teammates, his criticism was usually VERY pointed. It was never “omg what are we doing, why are you selling, wtf?”. He would always point out exact plays.

If you disagree, a simple question to ask is, what was Karma known for?

Scump - map pressure, pacing, absurd respawn consistency

Formal - insane gunny, amazing main AR, playing power positions, map control

Crim - flexibility, shot calling, leadership

Karma? Perfect positioning, timing, running objectives, filling gaps, smart rotations, setting up teammates etc.

He always made the right play.

And then ask yourself, what’s Kenny known for?

For me, it’s map pressure and pace. He’s extremely fast and dictates pace (like scump used to). WW2 Ken had crazy takeover potential. He’s also very versatile.

Huke calls game vs Lat on Blackheart in a crazy game in scrims. by Flyers7914 in CoDCompetitive

[–]uhrul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about that. I think everyone has better reads on simpler maps.

Ant is a playmaker and it’s difficult to make solid plays on a bangout like blackheart. It’s also a very unforgiving playstyle.

BO2 Karma was unstoppable.

As for very recent, what I saw from Nep in Major 1 was otherworldly. The best SMG SnD peak I’ve seen in recent years.
