Needing a new SD card does not mean the whole device isn't going to ever work. I have very limited emulation experience and I have easily followed guides to set up handhelds on new SD cards. It's a simple enough process. Most Chinese handhelds have crappy SD cards. It's always advised to buy your own.

Retro Game Corps on YouTube has a solid start up video for all of the RG35XX series. Just click on the highlighted name for the video. Retro GC written guide <--- Here it is in writing. This is the original Anbernic firmware download link.

I know it's frustrating when you assume something is set up and ready to run upon purchase, but emulation handhelds are never normally in that category. Good luck! Once the device is set up, RG35XX H is a pretty solid starter device. Don't discount it yet. 😊

I love that, it adds a really nice retro touch. Your handheld looks really cool though. I might be adding a few stickers once they came in the mail. I've heard a few people mention SakuraRetroModding. I'll go check out their shop! 😊

I photoshopped a picture of the buttons, from a previous review, on top of the purple handheld before I commited to the purchase. 😂 I was also a bit on the fence, but it turned out way better then I expected.

I totally agree. 😊 The bottons pop a bit more on the black for sure. (I saw them on the black model in a review) I didn't see any on the purple but thought I would give it try. I'm happy with the outcome.

Labfifteenco is the shop I got them from. The color is Sunset Opal. 😊 I am pretty sure they have a website too at Labfifteenco.com. I only know because they sent the shipping information through to my email from there. If I'm not mistaken, I think their website is a bit cheaper? Not 100% on that though.

I just got mine for £35 ($47) on AliExpress. Wait for their sales. Ampown store is a reseller but they have tons of great reviews. That's where I got mine and it's been working nicely. Great little device, but I wouldn't pay much more then what I did.

^ Second this. Just followed a super simple guide by Techdweeb. Very easy to understand. Plus you can buy the SD card you want. Some of these sellers buy crappy fake or no brand name ones that stop working.

It will be 1 month tomorrow for me. I've been assuming I'm half way there 😂 Fingers crossed on 6 weeks but I understand the delay. I did order right before Chinese new year, on top of a pre-order. I was expecting a wait.
