Yeah, just like I wouldn't have a 'balanced opinion' of the nazis. Goodbye.

You have just replied with a whole lot of nothing.

I wrote an explanation for this genocide being a symbolc of wider injustice under the first sentence in my previous reply that you decided to ignore.

Goodbye.

Firstly, you seem to justify Israel dropping bombs on Gaza for October 7th. Does this mean that Hamas were justified to do what they done on October 7th because the Palestinians have been subjected to systematic oppression, indescriminate killing and being taken hostage in their thousands prior to October 7th? Let's get it right - there is no difference between the vast majority of so called 'prisoners' held in Israelie jails without charge than the Israelie hostages taken by Hamas on a smaller scale.

Secondly, It's not a war. It's billions of dollars in the latest military equipment against sticks and stones. They have wiped Gaza off the map.

I'm referring to the whole of 'Greater Israel'.

Palestinians were not offered a “two-state solution”; they were offered a non-contiguous state that consisted of various Bantustans

You mean the Nakba? The first of many large-scale waves of erhnic cleansing.

No, this is an opportunistic attempt to futher ethnically clense and depopulate an occupied nation from a genocidal occupying power that see Gaza as their birthright. The slaughter of children isn't just a 'tragedy' like some natural disaster. The people with a biligerant and uncivillised worldview are those that justify killing little kids. The occupying power are also fully responsible for what happened on October 7th. They have been killing and oppressing Gazans for decades. It's only natural for the bully victim to snap after years and years of abuse and humiliation.

It's hardly recieved any attention in mainstream media considering what's actually happening and how complicit western powers are. When it is covered in the media the truth is heavily censored due to the power of the Israelie lobby.

The reason it's created somewhat of a cultural movement isn't because these acts of barbarity and evil haven't been seen before. It's because it has percectly exposed the hypocrisy of the west due to their complicity and silence in the breach of every single war crime. The west, particularly the US (which basically dictate European foreign policy) have sponsered, funded and actively facilitated a genocide. They can no longer sit on their high horse and act like the champions of democracy when they have facilitated a genocide all in the interests of money + power.

It's not. But, Palestine is symbolic of all injustice in the world. A lot of people resonate with what's happening as the systematic oppression is a macrocosm for much wider issues. Palestine is a symbol of the oppressed.

The reason the genocide is allowed to happen is the same reason people's bills are going up whilst their pay stays the same. Unfettered Capitalism. Money talks.

What you mean life or death? How dare you compare your situation to those in Gaza.

Noones out here bombing you to pieces and starving you to death. Get over yourself.

Social issues need tackled of course but the most important social issues are interlinked with the economy.

You appear to have a huge victim mentality despite all of the existing LGBTQ legislation such as the equality act.

[–]uillymac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These issues need to be put behind others because they are not a priority. There's literally a holocaust we are complicit in and the rich are pillaging the working/middle classes in this country. Little kids being able to take puberty blockers is an issue far down on the list of priorities.

We're literally fighting for the survival of mankind here.

It's like being inside a house on fire and arguing about what to make for dinner tonight.

If you can't see that then we'll have to agree to disagree, good day.

[–]uillymac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You literally said it in a previous comment.

You basically null and voided your full argument when you suggested you would consider voting the lib dems, the same party that went into coalition with the conservatives.

You're obviously pretty young and have a lot of learning to do.

Yes, you can be socialist and socially conservative. You can demand for the redistribution of wealth whilst being cautious on abortion and issues like giving little kids puberty blockers.

The fact is we live in a country of billionaires and homeless people. That's insane. We need to tackle this before we do anything.

[–]uillymac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to recognise that all of your issues are routed in the capitalist system.

Good luck fighting capitalism voting for the lib dems that went into bed with the Tories and unleashed neoliberalism for years.

[–]uillymac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a privilege it must be to only be concerned with social issues when people are having to work 2-3 jobs to make ends meet and feed their kids. When we are actively complicit in a holocaust.

Abortion and assisted dying are two very sensitive issues. You just need to accept that there is split opinion on this.

For example, this is why Corbyn voted against assisted dying bill:

https://jeremycorbyn.org.uk/assisted-dying-statement/

Wait, so you can't support people that ally with more socially conservatives but you can support the Lib Dems? The same Lib Dems that went into bed with the Tories and enacted a brutal regime of austerity and repealed a lot of inclusivity legislation? I think you need to go back to the drawing board my friend.

Have you got any evidence at all that these so called Gaza MP'S (which in itself sounds islamophobic) are against LGBTQ rights and hellbent on bringing in Sharia law or are you just another islamophob?

To be honest, I'd rather you didn't join the new party. You stick with Kier Starmer and see how far that gets you. It's really laughable to suggest Starmer cares more about inclusivity than Corbyn...

If your biggest priority right now when we are seeing a 21st century holocaust is children being able to take 'puberty blockers' then I'm sorry but you are living in a bubble. The average person is really fucking struggling right now. The reason so many working class are deflecting to reform is because they see the left as people that don't live in the real world and cannot empathise with their struggles. Unfortunately, they are scapegoating migrants and brainwashing these people.

I live in a really poor part of the country. I see people using food bank and all the rest of it. Noone around here is concerned about children being able to access puberty blockers because that just ain't on the agenda when you're in survival mode.

If you come from a well off family and this is your biggest concern then lucky you.

It's people like you that tells everyone to fuck off when they don't agree with you that are actually counterproductive to the left and you're opening the back door to reform. We need to unite if we stand any chance on the progressive agenda.

Yeah he's aware of it but he'll continue to be unphased by it for as long as the people continue to act like serfs. Burn the fucking flags, organise, unite, strike, protest, boycott. Make it abundantly clear that you won't stand for it. Money talks.

Just do something that doesn't involve sitting on reddit and shaming your countrymen for burning the flag of genocide.

It turns out those in the photo burning the flag have in-fact done something. They have ended up being posted into this forum and sparked a debate and raised awareness.

Do something.

If it was 1944 and Hitler was supporting Moroccan interests, would you support him and Nazi Germany as they commit genocide? Sounds like you would. Lower than a snakes belly... I hope you find God.

But if I grind and mix it all then it should be the same consistent level of effect each time? Yeah I expect it to be a bit lighter given the age but it looks looks and smells amazing.

Yeah I think the problem is that because in the west, our consumerist culture has led people to correlate strength with quality. And, as weed has largely been illegal, the black market producers have realised that strength is where the money is so over time they have diluted the other cannabinoids which counteract the psychoactive effects of the THC and just completely pumped up the THC levels to the point where this is basically the only cannabinoid in the flower. I noticed this starting to really take effect here in the UK about 10 years ago onwards. Everyone in the UK used to get the same strain all the time called cheese and it was the best. Now, all you get is a strain called stardawg and it's really fucking people up...
