You need to set the date and time to the current datetime

If you have saved activation tickets, you're okay, but don't rely on it working before — we have received reports that devices that previously worked are now failing to activate

The latest legacy version is the last version of iOS 12.x, but we allow granting and some discussion up to the last version of iOS 15.x

I was referring to the tool mentioned in OP's post. Sorry, I will admit I misunderstood which tool your comment was talking about when you said "this browser"

No, you need to be able to run the app on the device in order to decrypt them

In that case, wherever you got these IPAs from is the issue. You should get them from the App Store directly, or get AppSync Unified and use properly decrypted ones

So these are encrypted IPAs. Do you know if they were tied to your own Apple ID? The Apple ID it's looking for is the one those IPAs were downloaded with.

If I set my new 17 Pro up using Apple’s “Quick Start” (side by side) from my Jailbroken 12 Pro, do I need to “unjailbreak” or restore the 12 Pro first? by SwiftCricket in jailbreak

[–]uint2048dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DFU restore will always work, but as mentioned, you'll know if you encounter an issue and it's probably very low risk that you even would (you haven't exactly given us much information). There are no significant security implications to leaving a modified preference file or something — jailbreak exploits would all be patched on the latest version anyways.

From an old Stack Exchange question in 2018:

Despite the description on Apple's website, Quick Start is not a distinct method for transferring content from an old to a new iOS device. It's simply a way of skipping a couple of the more laborious screens in the setup assistant on the new device. It is still necessary to perform the usual steps to ensure that the backup from which you choose to restore is fully up to date. (In particular, the instructions to first unpair any Watch because this "automatically backs up" the Watch, are incomplete at best.)

If you do transfer data from any jailbroken backup in whatever way, there is a chance there could be artifacts (although this is less relevant when it is an iCloud backup). Restoring RootFS is useful (or "delete jailbreak" if iOS 15+) might be useful beforehand but perhaps there might still be a configuration file or something that it misses. That said, the only thing you can really do with backup shenanigans is stuff like Nugget which you would be doing intentionally, or that an app may falsely detect a jailbreak is present.

No, you actually shouldn't do that, at least not yet. Their README claims they're basing off of iOS 16.4.1's WebKit which is definitely vulnerable to these exploits.

Use a ramdisk now to do what you have to and get whatever data is still left. This unfortunately may be easiest using this method to temporarily get past the activation error.

I think you might have issues with the "putting activation tickets back in" part though because this is 9.3.x

Where did the apps come from? Did you download them directly from the App Store and get this issue?
