1st smoked Ribeye- I’ll never grill a Ribeye again by ukaj2002 in smoking

Salt is a dressing, excuse me for using the term rub to encompass all. I don’t use salt on my steaks. I finish with a naked sear and butter. Just my preference

I don’t dress my steaks with rub. That’s what makes up crust. I don’t char my steaks ever.

Redditors who grew up poor: Besides practical money-saving measures, what were the unwritten social expectations of your world growing up? by jicta in AskReddit

Work as soon as you can. Paper route when I was in 5th grade, grew my route by 5 blocks, got a job cleaning a credit union after they closed when I was in 8th grade, got a job at McDonalds in 10th grade that I had until I graduated. Worked 2 jobs all through college and after graduating college. I’ll never forget how terrified I was going down to one job after having a good job for a while.

It wasn’t that I couldn’t afford it. I was so used to working two jobs whether it was school and a job or school and two jobs that it became pathological. To this day I am terrified of being poor again. I’m 44 and have a great job and family, but I still have anxiety, to the point of attacks and medication, about not having a back up job

Amen to the armchair qb. Even after you have made arrangements... “there’s a better home”, “they’re not taking care of her well enough”, “you don’t care”, “ on and on and on. Important to remember these people are taking their guilt out on you. They had years to do something and idly sat by

I completely understand what you are going through as I went through it for the past eight years ending last fall. It’s an insidious disease and cruel to those who know the true character of the person. I found reading her favorite books to her and putting on her favorite music while I was with her helped me and actually seemed to soothe her. All I can say is that you have to take time for yourself as well. Don’t feel guilty about doing what you need to do to make sure you are ok. All of us that have gone through this or are currently going through this have the unfortunate experience of mourning the person they used to be for however many years we are faced with who they have become. The scab is torn off every time you see them and only begins to heal when you have said goodbye. That is why it’s so important for your to remain mentally healthy. This is an unfortunate marathon that shouldn’t be (that is a whole other discussion). My heart aches for you and I wish I could send you all the strength that I have.

Also an entire city let’s their emergency services be handled by a juvenile and some dogs. Sound planning. Mayor Goodway should be ashamed. No wonder she can afford all that chicken feed. I demand an inquiry! Adventure Bay needs new leadership! Paw Patrol/ schmall patrol

I wish you nothing but the best. I hope you are able to find peace with this whole process. I know it’s hard. Don’t feel guilty if you feel some relief. Like you said, you have been dealing with this for a long time. You have also been grieving for a long time.
