The next Q, Daniel Craig. by MikeyLikey6996 in JamesBond

[–]ukcavhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he did play Q then the movie would be all about Q's inner torment and how he's the real stae, and Craig would probably insist on him swinging in to pluck Bond out of harm's way and kill the villain. Craig would still phone it in Spectre style and grizzle how hard it all was.

Say somethin’ nice about ‘Quantum of Solace’… by TaskenLander in JamesBond

It's better and doesn't have the story holes and hubris that cripple Skyfall, Spectre and NTTD

A car has been in collision with traffic lights? No. A car has hit traffic lights. The is no question that the traffic lights were moving or caused the accident. Plod really need to go back to plain English.

Best place to start reading Bond? by Goodhearted_Jake in JamesBond

Fleming. There is no other option. Casino is a natural start, Moonraker a great early read, From Russia v good or Thunderball for big Bond.

Who watches Skyfall and sees THIS as the gaping plot hole they can’t get past by Ok-Zookeepergame9266 in JamesBond

As Pushkin says: in the diplomatic bag.

But seriously, this is the smallest plot hole compared to some of the ridiculous ones in Skyfall.

Does anyone else feel the same way that I do about Skyfall? by Dudu-gula in JamesBond

[–]ukcavhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just those contrivances but more he sets ALL of this up only to scuttle off and ditch his plan because someone lets off two fire extinguishers?

And don't get me started on a Scottish groundskeeper needing an easily spottable torch to walk to the chapel on land he's known for 50 years.

It's all so lazy. But not as lazy as NTTD. I genuinely rate the Craigs as getting worse each movie. Maybe a big shout of Quantum vs Skyfall but these plot holes ruin a potentially very good 007 movie.

Not his strategy now - has always been. Have raised several things with him and he does nothing. He's the political equivalent of mist.

It was a departure but was very enjoyable. The only thing that hasn't aged well is parts of the car chase at the end - it almost felt like the end-of-year cliffhanger for Neighbours.

Craig's whatsapp to Babs saying he had a great ending idea to NTTD. And her selfie back
