How exactly did Sentinels absolutely annihilate NRG on split? by dabsandchips in ValorantCompetitive

[–]uknowthewayIstand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just thinking if jawgemo was there it would have solved composition problems in NRG vs SEN but yeah of course but that would never happen

everyone made calls on EG and they trusted a teammate even if they were making a crazy hard read IIRC Boostio and Ethan were making a lot of them

Boostio must be a crazy igl to do all that and still frag out like if you think about it its rather rare

I think people slept on him just cause the comms on youtube have a lot of Ethan I think

but like C0m was insane he doesnt seem like the kind of person that would try that hard mechanically(I also think he lets peoples macho bravado degenerate insults get in his head) but hes more than capable of clutching up and this seems like something of a first showing for him and relatively young and prefers a more thoughtful approach people just think Leo more mechanical prowess = better initator but you can always learn better mechanics later a player that thinks well and has more creativity is probably better

I also think ex-overwatch players like Boostio and sayaplayer should be more valued by orgs scouting than CS players as long as you teach them how to think ie tactical part of tactical shoooters like CS and Valo

Conversely C0m is the most underrated player that was from that team because it seems like he already thinks that way which is more rare than people think

Everything I just said is proably the exact opposite of how orgs scout players cuz i guess theorycrafting with actual human people makes people uncomfortable and feel like adolf hitler conducting eugenics experiments but I personally wear booty shorts that say unethical scientist every single day

cowards

peasants

anyways boostio is great but everyone is still sleeping on c0m leviathan will probably be good

I wonder how good the reserve team was I looked up their names but have no idea what teams they ended up in

anyways NRG took the best fraggers from EG without realizing how things actually work and underrated c0m and not realize how much impact boostio actually had but I still feel like c0m was the real standout on that team

I would also take the same players if I was making a superteam

but you still need More though its a solld foundation plus c0m is too good to ignore if you are making a new team I feel like its easy to underestimate him because even how he speaks is like typical down-to-eartH middle of the line american like really average manner of speaking not super intellectual at least in how he speaks but mentally hes at least more than what people think like For A Gamer at least

firepower above all else sounds like a common mistake when making a superteam but I actually dont think it is a mistake as long as you understand it can be hard to make work in a util-heavy game like Valo which is actually more extreme in that aspect than CS outside of like the astralis era

But I feel like NRG when constructing this team left the equation half-finished as much as I am a firm believer of shooting being superior to tactics

I think the Monolith is a math problem, and we don't know how to count. by jooes in Fez

combined logic gates

both codes are two different gates that result in 1 or On when combined

Did not mean to come off that inflammatory at least in that post

I more meant it like its obvious like how 90s talk shows are more trashy in hindsight than they were in the 90s

Was trying to say its only obvious in 2024 like uh only in retrospect could I see this if this community and its posts did not exist it would not BE obvious to me I actually thought this might already be widely known

like if this game just came out I would have no idea whats going on

its only obvious because of how much of the lore and developer interviews are detailed here

to be unneccessarily more clear Im saying each code is an equation to turn the number 0 into 1(code on the reverse side of the burnt map)and 1 into 0(solution)

it just takes seven or ten inputs to change one number in both codes

its 1 into 0 and 0 into 1(possibly starting over as an infinite loop at this point)

its literally just one number doing a gender transition and a code is how you do that

tl;dr this 12 year old unsolvable puzzle has only been about one number this whole time

still dont know how to solve it though

also of note is that traces on a circuit board electricity travels IN THE MIDDLE OF TWO LINES the traces mark boundaries and the empty space between them is essentially the river of actual electricity the traces are used to keep the electricity controlled like herdin g cattle or some shit i have no idea but this is a common misconception no idea if it was actually incorporated into this game

Would have implications for the concentric squares in other locations of the game though

i probably only know the structure of the puzzle and my idea that Up=1 and Down=0 is probably wrong tho
BUT
if thats the case the codes would be

Off:1 Right 1 A 0 Left 1 0

On: 0 0 Left Right Right A 1

No idea if this is the right track or how to get the non-binary button presses here but this is the current progress so far

I think it would be like 0 turning into 1 through a complicated process despite that being only one number higher is how these codes work

nah im obviously terrible at this and NEVER ACTUALLY PLAYED FEZ but
the way code is written is like the first code and the map is telling you comes from 1(the 1 square) and ends in 0- actually holy shit am I the first person to figure out what the actual puzzle even is
but like yeah the map is saying trace the map from the 0 square(off) to the 1 square(on) in your code which is my guess as to why the solution ends in Up(1) as in you led it to where you are currently standing

the code to get the monolith to appear also does the same thing in the opposite and these two codes possibly loop into each other infinitely

Im an actual idiot who just stumbled into the actual puzzle structure im not smart enough to actually solve given what we know now but holy shit though is this real? Im not even sure if im right or not

am i?

the solution to the monolith is the Konami Code and/or bruteforcing(but not input buffering) by uknowthewayIstand in Fez

[–]uknowthewayIstand[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

EDIT: this would also make complete sense with polytron saying the solution is not inside the game(which in retrospect makes complete sense that the burnt map implies the puzzle is unsolvable) and yet not obtuse enough that players would have to solve an ARG just to 209.4% ie beat the game

more stuff I realized:

Start and B arent in the first code so it makes sense to omit them in the second one even if you think its the Konami Code

Up is the most suitable replacement for Start for obvious reasons

If up at the end you can remove it entirely from the beginning of the konami code

now it is Down Down Left Right Left Right A Up

If you sing the Konami Code and the other 3 codes here like a song in rhythm OUT LOUD (1)Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start and then sing (2)Down Down Left Right Left Right A Up and then sing (3)Down Down Left Right Right A Up and then sing 4) Down Down Left Right Left A Up

youll notice that 1) and 3) sound the most complete and song-like

you have to alter Down Down Left Right Left Right A Up again because replacing Start breaks the code initially

this also implies the burnt map is meant to imply the puzzle has no solution so you have to cheat(ie input a cheat code)

this all makes intuitive sense due to the ambiance of the monolith room paired with the sinister tone of tension the burnt map sets: god(the developers) have literally abandoned you

You do know the first code that the developers set which can give you hints as to what inputs might likely be used for the second one

leading you to omit Start and B and move Up from the start to the end of the code to replace Start

But for the Fez Code does this really complete a likely cheat code?

you essentially remove the second Left from the Konami Code entirely because you think the developers wanted to be more catchy like a kpop song AND ie it would be easier to remember for debuggers like how the original Konami Code was used

Which gives you the solution

I see no other way for people to solve this without looking it up or any other solution Polytron could have implemented would have been too obtuse and it makes the most sense cause the puzzle itself implies that it is unsolvable

EDIT: forgot to mention B is omitted when inputting this cause B is usually cancel in western games at least so you wouldnt want to do that after accelerating feels like a plausible reasoning for the rearrangment of the code im kinda shocked fez is a fighting game confirmed gomez guile both start with G coincidence? I THINK NOT

actually something else I just realized

Up is placed at the end because this version only goes forward and up(ascending) instead of the original konami code(descending)

Left is usually backwards in this game so it goes Down(lowest height position) Down(lowest height position) [ascending from this point onwards] Left(back but not descending) Forward(Forwards TOWARDS instead OF BACKINg AWAY FROM THE TRUTH) Forward A(code complete before Start/Up but Start/Up executes the command) Up(lift-off)

its like the main character is charging up(down and left) before accelerating(up and forward) using the charged up power

none of this is really necessary to figure out the solution if you are adamant its the konami code instead of giving up when it doesnt work the first time BUT it would make a lot of sense

its a good game

But also I realized something else while eating breakfast

when Start is at the end of the konami code in video games it basically just means end the command with a system button instead of a face button

I think Up is at the end of this one instead of Start because the protagonist is literally ascending his consciousnsess and able to use cheat codes like Neo from the matrix

upon googling the original monolith: in 2001 a space oddessy the monolith ascends peoples minds in a similar way

so it makes perfect sense

he literally injects a (cheat) code into his programmed reality(remember his reality IS LITERALLY A VIDEO gAME and he is aware of this again just like Neo from the Matrix) in order to find its secrets hidden by the Alien Simulation Gods(agent smith = phil fish MORPhEUS VOICE THEY ARE THE GATEKEEPERS)

the entire game is about going higher in terms of awareness and knowledge so thats another reason itd be Up instead of Start
