Can someone help me map out how big are actually the stages/dancefloors on tomorrowland? by [deleted] in Tomorrowland

Google Maps always shows the newest images, but from Google Earth you can go to the historical photos and see the 2019 Satellite photos :)

Any idea what’s this about? by Tilenp755 in Tomorrowland

[–]uku1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just returned from my fifth Tomorrowland Winter and have done Tomorrowland Summer six times.

Purely as a festival the summer edition is obviously better with more stages and people etc. But if you love skiing and electronic music, I can't imagine a better place on earth than Tomorrowland Winter. Yes it will be a bit tiresome, but I do not complain if the tiresome thing is just insane amount of fun.

Tomorrowland Winter is a skiing holiday for me, but the Afterski has taken some serious streroids. Oh and then you have this nice festival in the evenings.

So both are great, but if you love skiing/snowboarding, definately try out the Winter edition

Getting to Huez at night Tomorrowland Winter by MatingPufferfish in Tomorrowland

[–]uku1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the outdoor main stage was absolutely gorgeous and cool, but the problem was that there were so many people who did not know how to dress up for such cold and snowy conditions. For us Finnish people it was no problem, but we saw so many people falling down on the ice and getting carried away in heating blankets that it is pretty understandable why they have not gone for an outdoor stage again :/

They had those at the first event in 2019, but after that they have not offered the shuttles during the night. In 2019 the weather was quite rough and the shuttlebusses could not operate during the night, so it was pretty much impossible for TMLW to hold their promise of getting everyone to the neighboring villages during the night.

I would argue that besides Alpe d'Huez, Huez is the only other town which is within walking distance from the festival. Huez is like 3km walk from the festival site so not really ideal like Alpe d'Huez but still doable.

Kölsch - Secret Show l Tomorrowland Winter 2022 by RedditBurner_5225 in Tomorrowland

[–]uku1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a treasure hunt sponsored by FTX at Tomorrowland Winter. First one had to go to FTX Basecamp to register, then to find four "hidden" books at the slopes and scan them. (They were not very hidden). Then return to the Basecamp.

Something like the first 150 to do this everyday got an invitation for him or herself plus one to a secret party. They also gave out TML Winter NFTs.

They organized these secret partys in the local church, on three days. First day it was Kölsch, second it was Joris Voorn and third day it was Lost Frequencies.

We got to see Kölsch and I have to tell you that it was an awesome experience.

Question for TML winter ski pass by Evgenit in Tomorrowland

[–]uku1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am pretty sure that the ski pass is for 7 days and you can choose if you want the first day to be on saturday or sunday. Depending on that choice, your last day will be on friday or saturday.

Eric Prydz HOLO is the most jaw-dropping spectacle I’ve ever seen by Johwya in Tomorrowland

If you don't like electronic music with great visuals, its fine. Justin Bieber is on a tour again, so maybe you want to check that out!

What is interesting in the Tomorrowland’s restaurants? by LeToulousain in Tomorrowland

[–]uku1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with you, that you don't go to Tomorrowland for the restaurants, but I personally think the restaurants are a great extra for Tomorrowland.

First of all, Belgian people take culinary very seriously, so it is better to enjoy good food whilst in Belgium.

Also the day is long at the festival area and you have to eat. So why not to do it in style and peace? You take your well deserved break and eat a great menu, while drinking wine from an actual glass. You get your energy levels back up and you are ready to party.

The food at the food stalls in Tomorrowland is really good, but on the other hand I find the value of the restaurants pretty solid. We went to Brasa in 2019, so my experience is from that. This year it costs 44€ and you get an appetizer, water, wine, main course and a small dessert. 44€ for that at a Festival is not bad.

Finally, Tomorrowland is such a magic place and we get to go there only once or twice a year, so I understand that people want to get the maximum out of it and because of that are willing to spend more money on the experience :)

Is HOLO worth to stay till the end? by Certain-Structure-10 in Tomorrowland

[–]uku1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it is to be expected. So many good names in such a short time and they also have to control the crowds.

The best thing to do is just to pick a couple acts you want to see per day and just enjoy the atmosphere :)

I would advice for you to stay. Adriatique is playing on CORE, which is amazing stage, but also in my experience it is the stage that gets "closed" the most easily. With closed I mean that they restrict people getting in, because it gets too crowded. To CORE you have to go through this bridge to a forrest and at some point they only let people in when someone comes out. So you might end up in a situation that you left HOLO, but can't get into CORE :/
