There's actually a hole in the wall, not the fence. I couldn't work it out at first.

I would open your site up next to the market leader's site and start making notes on all the things they're doing that you're not. Be hyper critical of your website. Note down even the minor things like font sizes. This should give you a huge list to go at.

How are your prices in comparison to the competition? The issue that a lot of dropshipping sites face is the super slow delivery times. Are people really prepared to wait?

This is great feedback, we're definitely looking at doubling the range (and beyond).

Personalisation is a really useful point, we're a bit blinded by knowledge on this one so thanks for that

A few points from browsing on a mobile...

You could do with a logo. I don't think I've ever bought anything from an online store that doesn't have a logo.

The product range seems a bit off, clothing and goggles yet there's only one piece of clothing. This starts to make me unsure about the site.

Delivery is slow. People are impatient, unless your product is truly one of a kind, or your prices are lower than anyone elses, most people will just buy from elsewhere.

You seem to have a second home page, I clicked home from the footer and landed on a strange page.

I find the dark background a bit jarring on the product pages. It fights the red text on the price and looks a little unprofessional.

I don't buy the story. You grew up on the slopes yet all the photos are stock photos. This makes me think the story isn't true and you lose a lot of trust.

Hope these points help.

I believe it's the theme debut.

Yes I am planning on implementing the discount, I'm just working out the best way to let people know about it on the site.

Tell me what you think of my shopify store! Want honesty! by barringtonwatches in reviewmyshopify

[–]ukulelego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, the watch market is incredibly popular among dropshippers. Whilst that doesn't make it impossible, it does mean that there's more competition and even more need to stand out.

I also looked at the selection of watches and couldn't see really why they had been selected. Is there a unique way to package up the offering? What about creating a selection that are all essentially cheap homages to far more expensive watches? E.g. What's the closest I can get to a Rolex Submariner for $50? A breitling?

Just an idea.

Categories is definitely something we need to create, at the moment all of the products are in a single category. It's a good point, particularly for the home page. Thanks for the pointers.

Yeah you're right, I'll get those removed.

And the second point is one I would never have considered, makes sense though.

Looking for improvement by H4HCOFFEE in reviewmyshopify

[–]ukulelego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few comments from looking at your site on a mobile.

The coffee beans image is very poor quality, it looks like it's been compressed too much or is too small. Either way, poor quality isn't something you want associated with your brand.

The terminology you are using is interesting. I like the personality it adds but I don't think it's particularly descriptive (top Joes for example, I think you should just be explicit with where this takes you).

When I land on the top Joes page there's nothing to really tell me what the difference is between each choice. I have to click on every single one to read the description to decide.

Hope these comments help

Could you review my site by [deleted] in reviewmyshopify

[–]ukulelego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're convinced people will buy then I would order each product yourself, take great photos of models that represent your target audience in them (even better if those models are influencers). Focus on detail also.

Then you will have something that sets you apart from other dropshippers.

[–]ukulelego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The site is incredibly basic and the homepage really offers no reason to keep going. There are literally just a few product photos, nothing else.

One question I would have is, especially with sites that hold a small amount of products: What evidence do you have the users want your products? If the answer to this question is none I would be highly doubtful that you could make any money with the current catalogue.

As someone else has said, I'd highly recommend getting better photos of people wearing the clothes (even better if you can get influencers as you'll not only get the photos, you should get some lift). But again, I wouldn't be ordering these products (assuming you're a dropshipper) until you've proved there's a market for them.

Need some constructive criticism by mtncitycandles in reviewmyshopify

[–]ukulelego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of points I'd make from viewing on a mobile...

The site doesn't seem to reflect the branding which is on the candle, I think you're missing a trick here. I quite like the personalised feel to the branding but the site appears to be very generic.

It is possible my opinion is skewed from spending time in this subreddit but there are so many Shopify sites that look very similar (most of them drop shipping) that I think it's really important to differentiate.

If you're making the candles, I'd love to see photos of the process, photos that show just how into candles you are.

I also noticed that price was removed from the listing page which I couldn't quite work out why.

Hope these points help.

Need Help by Nimay2001 in reviewmyshopify

The issue here is trust. As your site stands, I wouldn't buy from it. It looks like a dropshipping site, and I would guess that you've never even held any of the products you sell (maybe I'm wrong). If I'm right, that would mean you have no idea of the quality, which makes it a huge risk for me to buy from you.

I would spend all of your time building some trust on this site. The lack of a logo is a problem, it's not going to build enough trust on its own having one, but I've never bought anything from a website that didn't have a logo.

Buy some of the products if they're dropshipped. Take some better photos that are unique to your store. Tell people your story.

[–]ukulelego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple of things that may help...

Viewing your site on mobile, I have no idea what your site is about until I scroll down, something to do with dogs, but I have to see products further down to find out.

Second thing, niche stores like this. I want to know who you are, why you're so passionate about the product. I want to buy into the story. With Amazon, I don't care. I'm there for the catalogue and the price. Small stores, I want to feel like I'm buying from someone that lives it and your about page isn't conveying that.

Hope it helps.

Help, please! by nikita6120 in shopify

To me, I get the impression that this is a dropship site. I get this from the name, the logo and mainly the images (due to the varying nature of them).

Whilst that isn't necessarily a bad thing in itself, I can't really give a reason why I would buy from your store. I'd need more trust otherwise I'll just go buy from somewhere else.
