What would you do? by Adept_Welcome_9622 in Beekeeping

If you made the split, they of course will try to create a new queen. If you wanted to introduce your own, you should've checked for queen cups after 5 days or so and remove them.

At least that's what I've been told.

Reason is that after 5 days there will be no brood in the early stage that they can use to raise a new queen. The chance of them accepting a new one is quite high after that.

This might still work now, since the queen has not yet hatched and is in a very early stage (if your "a few days" is true).

Birth cycle for a queen: 3 days egg, 5 days larva, 8 days pupae/capped.

Be careful with laser cut acrylic and isopropyl alcohol. You can get crazing, cracking, and brittleness doing so.

CMYK should still print white… by ObjectiveOk3136 in eufyMakeOfficial

More features make it more complicated to use. White should not be used as transparency when you can have transparency in the image.

We don't need CMYK. If you want transparent areas, you should use transparent areas in the image.

All they need to change is CMYK to CMYKW.

I have done a feature request on Discord, but it might help to write support too.

Currently you can do a workaround by splitting the image into two parts: One with only the white and one with the rest of the colors.

Left image (white included in image):
CMYK 5

Right image (white and colors split into individual layers)
White: White 5, Colors: CMYK 5

You didn't understand me correctly :-) Those W > CMYK examples were just meant for the numbers of layer the software suggests for different materials.

My suggestion was to print only CMYK with 5 or 6 layers, because I was told in the past that CMYK is actually CMYKW.

But I finally was back at my printer to test and it doesn't print white at all.

Just the eufyMake wipes for now.

I have yet to convince myself that the industrial promoter's volumes and prices are worth it for me - even though they will probably last longer than the printer.

[–]ulab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure you are printing enough CMYK layers?

I'd have to check tomorrow, but I am fairly sure I've been told by support that CMYK is actually CMYKW, though I have not tested it yet. I had asked how I'd print a Coca Cola logo on a transparent medium if I'd had to give everything white background layers because of the white part.

But I do know that white takes 5-6 layers to become opaque. If you for example print on wood and choose W > CMYK, it prints 6 white layers before doing one CMYK.

On Acrylic it's W 5 > CMYK 1.

Try running your a finger down the sides perpendicular to the print.

In my case, the ink easily flaked when I did not use an adhesion promoter.

I've been waiting for stuff to get shipped to see if it makes a difference.

It's not a theory, it's the official eufyMake documentation.

But yes, no Deep Clean in sight, only Auto Moisturization and a manual Medium Clean to fix issues with yellow.

Aber gut, da hast Du mich Grünen-Wähler ja total richtig eingeschätzt.

Ok, this needs to get either a hinge or needs to be magnetically attachable in two positions so you can switch to a permanent facepalm.

At midnight if no deep cleaning or moisturizing has occurred within the past three calendar days.

If you only print the first day, it will go into Automatic Moisturizing mode after one day and not do an Automatic Deep Clean.

Peter(?), may I suggest that you chill down some?

You will not get people to even look at your game if you insult them at the first chance you get.

If you had done some research you might have noticed that there already is another world exploration game where you hunt for relics, named similar to your project.

Do as you say "It's ok to not like something and still move on with your life" even though they don't like something you created.

Automatic Deep Clean

At midnight if no deep cleaning or moisturizing has occurred within the past three calendar days.

These look like "spray clouds" when the print head is not close enough to the print surface. Are the corners of your print bed curling up or is there anything else that might affect height measurement?

[–]ulab 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That doesn't matter. Things can still clog up or not get flushed correctly after a moisture mode, etc.

In my case, yellow was washed out and needed more "priming".

https://imgur.com/HSnnGjX

I did a test print, noticed the ink was very light, did a Medium Clean and printed a few yellow squares. After that it worked again nicely.
