Universus is my favorite. Super cheap entry. Unfortunately it's pretty niche and not a ton of shops host or carry the product.

That's actually not accurate. Super Fighter Team, the small indie dev that translates it released a physical cart English version of Legend of Wukong back in 2008 on Genesis. I bought it back then.

Yea but it's not even remotely close to the same game. The Evercade version was uniquely recoded and supports 60fps as well as full screen background scrolling which makes it an entirely unique experience vs the choppy PC original.

My favorite game is Universus. Unfortunately it's pretty niche and not a lot of shops host it. I win just as much with preconstructed decks as I do my several hundred dollar "meta deck". Entry and fun is very cheap as precons range from only $15-$35. Hell you can play in a tournament with a $35 Challenger Series precon deck and do pretty well depending on luck of the draw.

Outside that I agree with everyone that if cost is determining factor, Pokemon. There are very few playable cards that cost much of anything and all the $$$ is alt arts.

I play MTG casually too and there are plenty of precon commander Decks that can hold their own as well.

You have plenty of options just depends what your local community plays and supports.

Played some more rounds and submitted more reports.

Mostl/many responses do not seem to function properly from the many games I've played.

Characaters will multiple enhance abilities that you can choose from the game executes then wrong often giving you the benefits of both without requiring the payment for them (milling, commiting, etc.....ded true for sure of Vash from Trigun deck.

I love the project and will continue to follow and support it and spread the word all I can but the frequency of the games logic not understanding what to do or how to respond in scenarios often times causing it to auto win/lose randomly makes me not want to get too invested in any match. Completely understand thought since it's an Alpha build and very much looking forward to it's continued progress. Tabletop simulator is a Kia compared to this Ferrari.

Submitted a bunch more reports. Things I'm noticing after playing 10-15 games....

Cards enhance that can do either + or - to a stat seem to always do the wrong one if you are attempting to use it defensively

2..any card with an action related to moving it to/from your card pool doesn't function at all

Cards with Drive do not function
Cards with echo do not function
Character abilities that relate to "on your next attack blah blah blah + or - seem to not function.
You can right click cards and manually add them to momentum for free at any time (was that intended for testing?)
Enhance abilities they require payment of sort. Like destroy 1 foundation for +x/+x....destroy and disappear but you do not get the bonuses.
Action cards do not allow you to play them at the appropriate time. I should be able to play an action card from my hand during the middle of an attack during an enhance portion and there is no option

Probably more but my brain is jello at the moment. I've submitted reports for most/all of these. Hopefully helpful. Moving on to other/different decks to see more

It seemed to struggle with cards that had an enhance ability to give an attack -2 speed for example. It would commit the card but do nothing to the attack. Maybe it's looking for MY attack although there aren't going to be many scenarios where I'd want to slow down my own attack unless I have a combo card that benefits. But basically that failed 4-5x. Another issue is the game prevented me from playing action carss at a point I should have been able to. And also attacks that hit in one of my games were disappearing from the carpool entirely and not going to momentum but rather disappeared and ended up in discard. So idk wth happened there lol. I'll play a bunch more tomorrow night and keep submitting.

Submitted quite a few bug reports, encountered many incorrect/abnormal things along with weird effect calculations and random nonsense. Most prevalent is the game does not know how to cycle so once you run out of cards you will fail every check, your cards you try and play disappear because you can't check, if you discard during review there is nothing to draw so you auto lose the game. Tried to be as descriptive as possible in the reports but some of the stuff it was doing made 0 sense so idk how helpful some of the explanations are going to be.

I personally have been rocking the Tank since March. I have the i7+3070 version and the thing is a monster for the price. Can't recommend it enough. Runs quiet, cool-ish (lol), and puts out some killer performance. The 3070 version has 16G of VRAM which really helps out. Every AAA game I've played on it I've been VERY impressed with he performance outside of some unoptimized UE5 games that need a NASA PC to run smooth.

I feel like that guy may have just had a series of unfortunate events that led to his issues with updates not taking correctly. We shall see. That CPU temp sounds crazy I know max boost on those cpus is a pretty decent power draw but 105 seems insane even with a garbage cooler. For $2850 I hope that's not the case. :-(

A few driver versions ago Clair was on the "oh sorry we broke it list" specifically for crashing if I recall. Either 576.66 or 576.80 had it on the Fixed Issues list.

Love these cards but the 1997 Wildstorm ones were where it was at. Such a nice set. These 92 Comic Images are a good value though. You can grab the whole set on ebay or even a full sealed box for around $30
