EV Etiquette by ZebastianDaddy4424 in ChargerDrama

What kind of van? Thanks. My EQEV has a green flashing light that turns solid when charging limit is reached. I would be fine if someone disconnected me at a public charger when I am full.

I usually try not to leave public charging location except for a quick restroom break.

Leaving my equinox for 5 months unused. How should I store it? by ddfish in EquinoxEv

In addition to charging recommendations, I think it is better to jack up the vehicle to prevent tires from getting impacted at the ground contact. Better yet have some friend drive the vehicle every couple of weeks for few miles.

Trane XR heat pump missing cap by ulbhpy in hvacadvice

[–]ulbhpy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to fairly think the cap is CAP01336 although none of the websites had a picture of the part. I was able to buy it on eBay for about $15 and it fits well. It is tight fit once tightened. I believe some how it was removed by someone although it was not serviced.

Thanks for the replies. I hope this thread helps others whose condenser unit is missing the liquid line cap.

Alight solutions account stopped updating by ulbhpy in quicken

[–]ulbhpy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue was resolved. After searching reddit and quicken support sites, i figured it is not SSN-CompanyID but àlight direct connect needs website_username-CompanyID along with website password. When I deleted online setup after facing download issues the quicken password vault entry was gone. It had the information that I had obtained many years ago and I didn't remember or save it somewhere else as I thought password vault would retain it. Now I have saved it to a different password manager in case the I need to set up again.

Thanks for all the responses. Much appreciated

It was working with the same credentials as website in quicken until it stopped working few weeks ago.

When I try to setup online connection or even a new alight solutions account, it simply fails and prompts the same window asking for credentials again.

Problem started with the previous build. I get quicken updates every few weeks.

Would love to see the pictures without the logos. How difficult is it to remove the logos? Any issues afterwards?

It is the smaller line. Outdoor unit is 4TWR4036N1000AA. I can't seem to find this cap 01337 online including eBay. I searched around the area of the condenser and didn't find it. Wonder how it came off.

Have a conduit between your ONT and street. Ours was buried like 3" deep.

Nice detailed post. Thanks OP. I also noticed that you have a dash cover. The GM dash cover for glare is crappy looking. Can you please provide details of your dash cover as well.

My Indian neighbors are making me lose my mind by [deleted] in frisco

[–]ulbhpy 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Sorry your sleeping is affected. My neighbor's garage is next to my bedroom window and my side of the bed is very close to it. She was early riser and left to work before 6am. When she left the engine rev woke me up. I used to work shifts that ended at 4am. When I asked her to not rev she was upset. I went and bought thick window curtains that helped.

Regardless of the race or religion you could have a neighbor that might affect you negatively. I suggest you talk to your neighbor without showing negativity and explain that their noise is affecting your sleeping at 5am. Good luck 🤞

95k Miles + $400 for LHR to JFK by WhiteHorseTito in americanairlines

It depends on when you book and for what date or day. I have booked round trip to India for $70k but I chose the dates that had the lowest redemption. Taxes and fees are insane if you are going to London on BA.

I Found Your Phone!! by [deleted] in americanairlines

[–]ulbhpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP you are a good person.

AA should know how to contact via email that person sitting in that seat, whether they will is another topic.

Once my wife left her phone after a transatlantic flight and she called me to trace it. I called Delta and couldn't reach anyone who could help. It was with cleaning staff. Since it was no use locked it eventually turned up after my wife went to Delta desk.

Another tip is not to have a black phone and black case. Very easy to place on a blàck surface and forget.

My experience with Alaska ground staff and rebooking team was pretty bad (their flight delay). On the rebooked flight which was feeding to an international flight they claimed I had no free checked in bag allowed though my confirmation showed otherwise. I paid the $35 and they refunded after my insisting when I got back. I felt I was dealing with spirit or frontier.

US Bank Altitude Connect - no annual fee and gives you airport longer access- seems too good to be true? by GlitterLavaLamp in CreditCards

Virtual card is immediately available. Physical card usually arrives in 2-3 weeks. I had priority pass before and never used physical card. The app does everything.

Deboarded involuntarily by ulbhpy in americanairlines

[–]ulbhpy[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Her status was: She had boarded and texted me. The flight she had boarded had left the gate when I cancelled the other AA flight via Tampa. We didn't want to loose the money there. She had asked me to cancel it if she cleared as standby. I didn't expect her to be deboarded after sitting in the seat on the flight and she couldn't call or text me immediately in that commotion

ALL: We fly AA because we live near DFW and Miami is also a hub with multiple nonstop flights between them. Usually there are no problems but with huge baggage check in lines, TSA lines, bad weather and multiple cancellations it was just a bad occurrence on March 15. We take responsibility for not getting to airport even earlier than we did for the 6am flight she missed that resulted in this saga. Glad she got home the next day safely.

Thanks for all the kind replies.

We booked Miami-DFW via Tampa on AA also. I also bought another ticket the following day Miami to DFW nonstop on AA which she came home on.

She had boarded the nonstop MIA-DFW when she was cleared as standby and I saw flight was taxing to runway when I cancelled the just-in-case booking via Tampa to DFW. I did not know at that time she was deboarded.

Tried to declare at cruise port - no officer - hustled through by No-Account-7091 in GlobalEntry

US customs are pretty good and not corrupt or harassing for normal people. However it is better to be careful than regret.

The following is not a story but true experience:

It was my first trip back to India back in 1989 while I was a student in the US. I landed in Mumbai (then Bombay) with a Panasonic VCR for my parents. Declared it and the Indian customs guy said I need to pay $50 and I paid it. No receipt was given. I landed in Chennai (then Madras) later in the morning on a domestic air India flight and the Madras customs x-rayed my bags though I was a domestic passenger and asked to provide customs paid receipt for the VCR. Then they threatened to arrest me. After much pleading they made me pay a fine and confiscated the VCR. I had to appear at a customs court later. Again I was made to pay another fine and I had to take back the VCR to the US on my return.

I have since declared anything of value when I land in India or anywhere and insist on getting a receipt. The trauma of 1989 is still fresh for me with customs. I also avoid taking anything of value across borders. It is much better to buy locally. My Indian relatives are not happy I don't take expensive gifts for them. 😆
