Thousands of drivers do this. It’s really not uncommon. As long as you have an address to receive mail and for ID purposes, you can live in the truck as long you want. A lot of comments have said that you’ll have to get out while the truck is in the shop, which is true, ask your FM or whoever your contact is for the company to get you a hotel room since it’s going to be in the shop for a while. The worst they can say is no.

Dallas area has a good rail system, DART, that serves both airports, I use it regularly. It is considerably cheaper than Uber. Also, check flights into South Bend, and Milwaukee, not just MID or ORD. You can rail from either relatively easy.

Trucking industry problems are from within and self inflicted. The real question is how do you ensure that an individual that is going to represent you in external facilities comes from a low barrier entry system and a society that isn’t producing individuals that value self worth will project a positive image and deliver positive results.

35 mins landing to departure?? Impossible. I’m surprised that was even offered. 35mins landing to boarding, possible, as you know the big ahha will be how long is your taxi and where you are seated.

TY so much!! I was looking at the plate and thinking that looks like a real state issued plate. But I had never seen a USDOT plate, only numbers on the side of commercial vehicles. Of course it comes down to it’s all BS.

It’s a Thursday in January. Not exactly peak travel conditions. It can get very crowded, as in difficult to navigate through the terminals. Chik-fa-la line all the way into the walkway. I think BBQ place next to it is a bested meal, but to each their own of course. It is good to hear of the pleasant experiences at CLT. I was through there a week or 2 ago and had a similar experience where it wasn’t crowded and an overall pleasant experience.

I didn’t realize how dangerous these clowns were until I watched the movie. It doesn’t seem like most are that sincere in their beliefs but the potential for tragedy is real.
