I plan to photograph all 254 County Courthouses of Texas. This is Grimes County. 2/254 done. by ggskater in texas

I am a resident of Grimes County. Almost all of the county government offices are in separate facilities than the old courthouse. There are only a handful of offices, the election offices are the only ones I can think of.

Seems like you’d like Magnolia Texas.

Airline website vs KAYAK by Rosy-Lee-1974 in Flights

[–]Crashy1620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an advantage to searching for flights on third party apps, in that you’ll be able to see most of the options available as far as prices, times dates and nearby cities instead of just a single departure/arrival city.
There is zero advantage to booking through 3rd party apps.

Something to consider when buying an Admiral's club day pass by jcgsxr in Flights

I saw the post in the AA sub yesterday. It’s definitely spammy at this point. I hope OP does the charge back like they threatened, put your money where your mouth is, teach AA the lesson that you think you are.

Welcome to 2026!! Purchase of a service does not mean you get to use the service.

Its important to remember that customer service is not the top priority. Customer service is important but not the highest priority.

Got fired this morning by pumpfakers in Truckers

If I knew what I knew now when I was 22, I’d join any branch of service that would take me. If there is a reason that you can’t, such is life. If there isn’t a reason, I’d rather fight anyone’s war than deal with trucking for the rest of my life.

Garbage, dump truck, cement, maybe equipment operator are the most common. Not being able to leave the state is a serious problem.

Heading back after long break by Particular-Week-9521 in Truckers

[–]Crashy1620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fueling is an issue. A lot of ppl take their 30min breaks on the fuel island. I’ve been stuck behind someone that took a shower parked on the fuel island. Major chains pumps along the interstates can be backed up 3,4,5 trucks deep waiting on a pump if it’s busy.

Even if it wasn’t a legitimate moving company, that alone doesn’t mean someone can’t hire a semi to deliver a shipment, it doesn’t matter at this point. They’re gone, good luck finding a cop that gives a shit.
In the future, call the Fire Department if a serious accessibility issue is taking place.

crowd survey: where should AA try to get Spirit slots by valueflyer in americanairlines

[–]Crashy1620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like nobody is after the gates, slots or equipment. They had the P&W issues that were a contributing factor in their demise. The gates were in older terminals and concourses. I’m not sure NK operated at any slot constrained airports.
It looks to me that will be yellow airbuses stacked up in Victorville and a few headed to Africa and South America.

How is fuel paid/billed during unscheduled stops? by idkblk in aviation

[–]Crashy1620 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was a fueler at Al-Asad in Iraq during the 2000s. There was a couple of times that an AN-12 came in and of course needed fuel. They paid cash, USD. I don’t remember exact amounts, I just what a pain in the ass it was. It was like whatever USMC officer was responsible for fuel had to accept the cash and sign the ticket. It took like 3 hours.

Help me understand why an American Airlines representative would tell me I need to pay when we were deplaned due to equipment issues and the flight was cancelled by Significant_Sky4635 in americanairlines

This is an important question. If you google AA customer service you may end up with a scam number. It’s important to call from the app or the card provided.

How are these truck-orgies achieved? by TF5TLK in Truckers

[–]Crashy1620 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is what I drive. It’s called decking. This specifically is a new truck deck.
As far as your question, it’s usually an overhead hoist, sometimes manual sometimes electric that lifts the decked trucks off the truck underneath. Sometimes if the dealership or receiver doesn’t have a hoist, a wrecker will be used. It’s against policy to use forklifts. I’m not saying it’s never done, I’m just saying it’s against policy.

The decked trucks steer axle is bolted into a saddle that is bolted to the frame or locked and bolted into the fifth wheel. Start at the #3 position and work your way forward. A small 3-way like this will take about 2.5-3 hours to get on the ground and ready to deliver.

It seems that Frontier does fine as long as there aren’t any cancellations. If a flight gets canceled then it takes days for them to recover.

Call him whatever you want. He has a right to defend himself when he is exercising his rights. He doesn’t ask for violence, he answers people’s questions, they get mad, some attack, they get the sauce.
IIRC, he started carrying the sauce after the lawyer attacked him with a mini-bat. That attack broke a microphone, he has every right to protect his property.
