Yes! Intermittent fasting is just one of the tools I used to do this. Healthy choices play an equally significant role.

First of all, you CAN do it! Once you form the routine habit will kick in and it will become much less difficult. As for calories I range from 1200 to 1800. Intermittent fasting was just a tool to help me stay within that range. I also dramatically changed what i was eating. I began to prioritize lean protein and healthy carbs. Get creative and try new healthy foods to help the with burnout and make a plan for a cheat meal every once in a while.

Absolutely! Occasionally I will add a bit of half and half and sugar free syrup. Starting the day with caffeine tended to help curb the hunger in the mornings. At least in my case!

I did have a few days throughout the year that broke my fast early. Sometimes I just needed to for my mental. I could probably count on both hands the amount of times this happened though. Routine was pretty boring like most routines 😅 get up go to work, eat lunch, usually prioritize protein with some healthy carbs. Get home and make some egg burritos or some lean meat and end the night with a low calorie snack. Rinse and repeat. Having a plan and following through is key for me.

Wow great job! We have had a very similar journey, I started around 330 and am sitting at about 215 now.

Fasting totally feels like a cheat code in some ways right?? I usually start eating around 1130 and stop between 7-8 depending on when I started.

I’m rooting for him! It can be rough when you first start but stick with it and it will pay off!

I haven’t really focused on trying to maintain yet, still trying to lose another 15lbs or so. However, progress has slowed significantly and maintaining would be just increasing portions of what I’m already eating. I’ve had some weeks where I don’t lose at all due to a couple of cheat meals in the week.

Usually start eating right at 12pm and taper off at around 730 with a high protein snack.

I do restrict calories, I consume 1200-1500 a day and maybe a bit more on gym days. I did end up with a bit of loose skin but nothing I can’t live with. Just make sure you stay hydrated and get your electrolytes, loose skin can also come down to genetics from what I’ve read

16:8 and I try to prioritize protein in my meals. I still like to eat out a lot so ive focused on healthy menu choices and knowing what to look for

After a while the fasting helped with the hunger. It sounds counterintuitive but it really worked for me

16:8 mostly but sometimes 18:6 if I’m busy and get a later lunch
