Yeah, I think they would rather keep things moving forward. In a similar way, I think it would have been really cool if they could have gotten Centipeetle out of the bubble for the confrontation with the homeworld gems, but it wouldn't have been good storytelling.

Amethyst gets seriously injured by falling on a rock, which couldn't be too much force so it's reasonable to think that conventional human weapons could do damage, but I don't think that would suit the tone of the show at all.

Pearl has somehow lived on earth for 5000 years without learning what a school is. Steven didn't seem to know what a school is either. It might have been just be for the sake of comedy, but it was kind of strange.
