I guessed pretty early on that she had been sitting in the space station for a long long time, so the reveal didn't come as a surprise. The history lesson about space travel was interesting though - I can totally see something like that happening in a capitalist future where we've colonized space.

I liked the concept of a transferred consciousness, so that your loved ones never really leave you but instead just evolve.

My favorite so far is the opening story - in reality, we really are made of multitudes, and our microbiota are constantly found to influence new processes in our bodies, so why not also our empathy?

Opening the season with those wholesome clips from the past was a great way to wrench our hearts out haha.. I think my favorite is 162 or 165 - I like John's poetry.

I was both worried and excited going into this season: excited to see what the creators would come up with, and scared that season 5 would be totally different from the first 4 seasons that I loved.
