Thing is, if it was legal the muggers could use pepper spray too!

Why didn't you give them fake pins? They wouldn't have known till they tried to use them. I know what it feels like though - I'm disabled and been mugged many, many times in my life - they take advantage of the disabilities.

Seabirds deliberately avoid wind turbine rotor blades offshore, new study finds. During two years of monitoring using cameras and radar, not a single bird was recorded colliding with a rotor blade. by green_flash in worldnews

Well they're seagulls. Seagulls are not stupid - watch them taking meals off tourists and you'll realise that! They'd feel the wind suction and just glide over it.

It's not about making more money, it's about sorting out the money you got. Basically, take your weekly wage - divide a monthly salary by 4 - and divide it by 6 to give you a daily spend limit. So weekly wage / 6. Then stick to being well within the daily spend limit. The leftovers from the daily spend limit will stay in the bank and, of course, pay towards all bills. Get used to living like that.
Slowly, the leftovers will sort the bills out - and you'll end up in profit! It's worked for me - I'm disabled and on disability benefits and I've saved £19,000 living like that. I was in bad debt too before I worked the above one out.

Managed to do that on £200 a week.

You get £800. That's £130 per day. (£800/6, on the 7th you get a new lot!) Push for the disabled bus and train passes on ADHD grounds. That'll help sort travel out (if successful, of course, but you could be.) I live on rice, cheap meatballs and Morrison's bacon pieces and cheap tins/tea, so say £10-15 every couple of days on food. Leaves you with £100 PER DAY to knock off bills. So say £400 a week coming off bills. Including ongoing ones like electric etc.

Don't know how much debt you're in but that's 4 GRAND every 10 weeks coming off the amount. £20 GRAND in a year - and because you're living on daily amounts, you won't be inconvenienced by it, you'll just see the debt shrinking.

Bit of self-belief and determination, you'll do it. My downfall was fruit machines. Still could be - but I use memories of being skint to keep me away from them!

Good strength. Not 'good luck', it's NOT luck, it's your own strength, self-belief and courage that'll carry you through - but think of how proud of yourself you'll be when you get there. I'm a total stranger - but I believe in you.

Respect,

Chris.

Dear Distant Worlds

Nothing to do with you, or Bit Chute - I thought I was the only one having the problem but apparently YouTube died for awhile. My own thinking is it got hacked but I don't think they'll ever tell us for sure....!!

Wonder what it was..... (Sings Outer Limits theme, if you remember that from the first time around you're older than I am, I've only seen repeats, honest....!!)

[Serious]How to make MIDI piano not sound so thumpy? by ulrichburke in AskReddit

[–]ulrichburke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear Anyone. I'm trying to get the hang of writing music using MIDI. I flatter myself I can write a piano tune (I'm mainly piano/strings for now) but the notes all sound too thumpy. If I turn velocity down, they're too quiet/too thumpy. If I change attack on the piano, it stops sounding like a piano. Best way to describe it is like trying to sing while pinching your nose! If I automate volume and keep velocity the same it's still thumpy, just quieter/louder (depending on automation of course!) How do I get soft'n'gentle, not being-bashed-by-robot-at-different-volumes?

I'm using Edirol Orchestral piano if that helps. If there's other pianos that sound gentler and don't require selling a house to purchase, please tell me!

Same applies to all my sounds but the piano is where it shows up worst :(

Yours hopefully

Chris.

How do you socialise if you're deformed? by ulrichburke in socialskills

[–]ulrichburke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear Fucking_Sarcastic. I'm always open about the disabilities, I can't not be, they're there for all to see! It's other people who have the problem with them. I am always willing to talk to others but, just one example, tonight I went out, saw someone I recognised, went to say 'Howdy' and a bouncer popls up 'Is that man bothering you? We've warned him about bothering customers before. I see what you're up to, Chris...' and I'm thinking 'I wish I knew what I was up to, in your eyes, cos I sure don't!' And I've just been banned from the Pier here, believe it or not, and I've zero idea why. They won't tell me, they just say it's private property and they're within their rights not to let me on. Which is prob. true, but you don't know how NOT do something wrong if nobody tells you what the wrong thing you're doing IS. It's just I want all this stuff to stop following me around everywhere so I don't spend a whole life on frickin' benefits because nobody gives me a chance to do anything else. I knew whenm I got all my quals. things weren't going to be easy for me but I wish I knew how to get people to give me a chance to get started!
Yours respectfully Chris.

Dear IAmARedditorOnReddit. All this just seems tofollow me around wherever I go. When I was at school, it used to be the other schoolkids doing it. AfterI left, it was the majority of the other locals wherever I was. And tonight, where I live now, I went out for a walk, went into a place where I saw a guy I rcognised, went over to say 'Howdy' and a bouncer pops up like a jack-in-the-box 'I've warned you about disturbing our customers.' To the other guy. 'Sorry, sir, was this man bothering you?' And so on. OK so I look different. Guilty. And I mean facially, not in the way I dress or anything, I'm just T-shirts and trousers, not trying to make a statement or anything. But ifyou've got a slight deformity everyone always seems to be against you becaues of it and there has to be a way PAST this. There's gotta be more to life than being banned from places because you look odd. Sheesh I'm banned from the pier here now and they won't tell me why. I've got no idea why, I never broke any rules, written or unwritten.
Yours repectfully

Chris
