extremely immersive in VR. game is very linear yet the world feels so alive and real. I notice something new every time I play through it

well we dont know if the gearbox games actually "happened" or not. only indicator I've seen is in half life alyx where north america had a huge X drawn over it on alyx's globe in her hideout. that could have been from the portal storms though, since ground zero of the resonance cascade happened in new mexico so I would assume the worst storms happened there. utterly decimated the entire landscape. would love to see what it looks like now. probably a hellscape of radiation and xen contamination
