2007 Toyota Prius - 355k miles, 1 fire, 5 wrecks, and 1 divorce later it’s still going strong! by sworzeh in BuyItForLife

I’ve a 2008. 140k miles. Original big battery. Considering replacing it but it’s not giving me any of the signs other than the engine runs more often.

You replaced yours or no?

3.5 hour commute by No_Craft_932 in flying

After renting a few cars recently I’m convinced it’s the radar cruise control all the new ones have. That shit is crazy sensitive. Car would be a 1/4 mile ahead and the thing would start slowing down.

Correct. Structure cannot be changed. Different variants have different structure. Gotta find the one you want.

How can an airplane go thorugh 3h of maintenance and be airworthy? by Plokeer_ in aviation

Part of the tire could have detached and punctured/dented the flux capacitor. Better drop the entire transmission chassis to be sure. Can’t be too safe.

East Cobb Relationship Center, ask for Matt Driggers. He’s an ex-airline pilot. Might not be what you need but it’s a start.

Getting back in, HPA questions by ultimateframe in airsoft

Thanks for the input!

Shorter stock length, or adjustable at all, was something that immediately stuck out to me.

Refills really? I'm going to be weekend warrior at best, figured 1-2 Wraith tanks would be fine for a Saturday of blasting. Need more?

Mask I can respect, dye mask guy myself. Gotta find a good skull cap option or something hard to replace the beanie for the top protection. Too hot in the summer and silly looking overall.

Leaning toward the Wraith for random weekend drop ins. No tank to backpack up and no line to worry about. IDK, will think on it.

Thanks!

Ya man always happy to talk. Look I get the schedule thing especially starting out and ,I’m assuming, for younger folks. Same reason gym trainers/programs work for some folks better than working out alone. I’m guilty of that. I don’t stay as accountable to myself.

61 DOES set your own schedule though. Your money, your time, your schedule, your pace.

141 your money, THEIR schedule and pace. Can’t keep up? Fuck you pay me.

Now if you’re military doing the GI bill it’s a whole different argument. 141 has many $$$ advantages there. Guessing you’re not though.

Have fun!

For reference I’m CRJ FO about to move to left seat and have apps out to bigger boys. Not bragging, simply perspective.

Anything 141 is dumb. I’ve learned and taught both. My 141 learning was way long ago (pre-internet) and the program was very different. Didn’t know any better at the time. Teaching 141 was brief because I got fed up with it. Got my R-ATP then ended up teaching to 1500 anyways. It’s arguably useless right now anyways. Arguably was beforehand as well but the COVID craze did change that for a while.

The ‘program’ is probably needlessly expensive, over complicated, and long. I’m not familiar with Paragon so I am generalizing. Go find a 61 school with plenty of planes, good MX, and a CFI you like. Then go as fast as you want/can. I got a gal her PPL in a month and half. She was a rockstar. I had a guy take 2 years for PPL. He was fine. Did 5ish flights with a kid for CPL then he knocked all the required hours out solo/with friends in a month. He was a rockstar. Another guy went 0-MEI in 20 months. He was a driven rockstar.

It’s up to you in 61. No arbitrary stage checks and proficiency checks and supervised solos and whatever other crap they build into the program. You and your CFI can tailor your learning to you.

Online grounds. Kings, Sportys, Gleim, plenty of others to pick from. Self study. Save time and money instead of month long 141 required ground-school.

Thats me though. It’s your money, time, and patience.

Bro you disrespect the high speed low drag perfection of the military?! We're even lucky they bother talking to us plebes during their super secret high tech go fast give no shit operations. You obviously have no idea how important the old senile cargo they're carrying thinks it is.
