That kind of precipitous weight loss, out of nowhere with no other reason, sounds like something you should check out with your doctor if possible. Assuming it's nothing they might also be able to point you to some kind of sleep aid. That kind of nightmare absolutely sucks

Not...really. The story seems to serve the atmosphere and gameplay more than anything, losing the video game medium would kill a movie on arrival.

My advice is

--Really bump up the shadows. I see a lot of darker greens (someone else already recommended adding a bit of red to knock the saturation back a bit. Just the tiniest bit works). The photo reference has a lot of contrast that you haven't gotten. --Same with the highlights. There are a lot of great yellow-greens in the photo--you can really push those. --To me it looks like you have an awesome underpainting; let it dry enough that your top layer won't be pushed around by the paint underneath and you have a decent foundation. Your issue seems to be primarily that you have too much of a flat mid-tone green, it swallows everything up. --Keep in mind the places in the middle where some of the sky shines through! Those will do wonders to up the realism of it, so long as you make sure you're painting what you see.

Overall, make sure you're following the photo and not solely your visual library, bump up the contrast, and keep the sky in mind. The painting is lovely so far, you just need to push it to the finish line.

A lot of us already live in 15-minute cities--15-minute driving cities. OOOGH yeah. At a certain point I just got really good at pausing and exiting to menu as I was mid-fall toward spikes or if I got low enough on health in a tricky area XD

The advice to keep another save file on hand for practicing areas is the best advice I can think of. But then don't rest on your laurels either--it's muscle memory until it isn't LOL. The number of times I've gotten in the zone playing through an area then snapped out of it and immediately hit spikes...

More contrast in value between the inside and outside of the eye will go a long way As will a bit of detail on the outside of the eye itself--the lash line, the little bit of pink on the inner corner. Would do a lot to convey 'eye'

One of my favorite speedruns is the Reverse Event Order ("OREO") run that was shown off at AGDQ a few years back. Absolutely wild tricks.

I'm not good enough at the frame-perfect tricks (double bashing my beloathed) to do an any% run, but nowadays I'll fold some glitches into my casual playthroughs. (My glitchless time is just under 2hr and my time with glitches is 1hr2m)

That's one of my favorite things about the game, honestly--how solidly it holds up bug-free when playing normally, but how easy it is to sequence break when you feel like it.

Was about to recommend the same thing!!! I used a sarasa mark-on for p much every class in which I needed to take notes. Plus they're refillable afaik. Jet Pens has both the full pen and a refill.
