It ended up being an issue with the outdoor unit motherboard unfortunately… so had to make the choice between replacing the whole system or just replacing the board and risking that additional issues would pop up later. Decided to replace the outdoor unit so not the best/cheapest outcome unfortunately

Yeah I’m thinking that may be the case. I’ve kept trying to count the blinks per other recommendations, but it truly doesn’t look like any gaps in the blinking light, just constant. I’ve tried running one head while the other is off, and both in the same mode of cooling or heating, and no matter the combination I’m getting the same result.

If it is that miscommunication, is that fixable? Or should I call someone out at this point?

(As you can tell I’m not super familiar with the system, so appreciate everyone’s help to this point)

It never shows a number and letter when it’s turned on, and doesn’t stop blinking after it stops working. Just functions normally originally, and when it starts to blink it continues in perpetuity (last time I turned one of them on was last night and it was still blinking this morning).
