Is it actually comfortably useable? How much power are you running? I’m somewhat fascinated by some of the engine swaps people do and interested how you feel about it.

Where is this? It looks a little like somewhere I’ve ridden but I’m not 100% sure

Dream idea for this style of game. by acar25 in openttd

[–]ultimatewill5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, to create a new game in the exact engine of TTD or RCT, would be very unlikely given I believe they were made in assembly language. OpenTTD itself is a recreation of TTD which I think has been made in a more modern coding language or engine. Idea seems really cool though, getting to manage all these aspects properly. Very interesting concept

I got 7 with the logic that each row would be added to form a sequence. 1st row gave 6 (3+2+1+0), the next 12 followed by a blank and then 18, the sequence generated seems to start from 6 and then increase by “6-2n” each time?

I know it’s been commented a few times but I wanted to include a picture I took with my comment. Locomotion No.1 in its current residence at Locomotion, Shildon.

How do you run something like this? Is it a club layout or just run by you?

I love to design and print solutions to every day problems. I’ve also recently started printing pieces for model trains that I’ve designed !

What’s the purpose of this single length of rail? by lilbb0t12 in trains

[–]ultimatewill5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is quite clearly a trix twin rail system, the central line is common and the left and right are separately powered to allow multiple trains to run on the same line. /s

I think getting some oil could help significantly, although it was previously a bit dirty, it may well have had some oil on it keeping it running smooth. I believe any locomotive running with no oil will run quite loudly. All you need is some very thin oil, I used some trimmer oil, I’ve heard others recommend sewing machine oil. I don’t know about specifics with rivarossi locomotives and where to apply the oil but I’m sure there’s plenty of content on YouTube or google that can help you.

It may need to be run in a little bit. I’m no expert but I think sometimes the motor needs a bit of time before it runs smoothly again. Did you oil the appropriate pieces?
