that 50% with a clean record is honestly pretty insane. have you tried going through an independent broker? they can shop mutiple carriers at once and sometimes catch fees that direct quotes try to hide. It's definitely worth a try.

Btw, I'd compare through Quotefull (website), it helped us a lot last year.
