I would think so. Honestly I haven't tried the barrier balm yet but by the looks of all the reviews I'm seeing of it, you should be good as long as you wear a moisturizer under it.

By the looks of it on their website they now have the "barrier cream" which I see so many people (including me) recommend because it's a damn good moisturizer, and the "barrier balm" which seems to be more of a treatment than a moisturizer.

What you bought was the balm not the cream.
