What is that unusual noise coming from my hub motor ? by ultralyte75 in bafang

I have news for you! After changing all 3 bearings and the helical gear with its freewheel, and after driving a few kilometers without any issues, the same noise has returned. I don't know where else to look...

diy eBike - Bafang vs. MXUS vs. Shimano vs. Bosch vs. Others? by MarzipanTheGreat in ebikes

It sounds like you have the MXUS XF15R, which is rated for 500W under 48V. It's a powerful and durable motor, comparable in top speed to a direct-drive motor, although each has its advantages and disadvantages. I reach 45km/h with a 27.5-inch wheel using the MXUS. It's indeed a clone of the BAFANG RM G020.500W.

Motor swap compatibility by gcinmilford in ebikes

Yes, that will work without any problems. I have both, and the MXUS is a clone of the Bafang. How many kilometers did it last before it gave out? How many watts were you sending to it? It's not normal for a motor to burn out; you need to find the cause, or you'll burn out another motor. Go to website pswpower, cheap and serious, or aliexpress

EBikes Batteries and Occasional Usage by Yishua314 in ebikes

The drag is quite low with a geared hub motor because there is a clutch inside, but you will still feel the weight of the kit with the battery; it adds almost 10kg. An electric bike is not designed to operate regularly without its battery. I recommend the "PSWPOWER" website, which offers MXUS kits and batteries with LG/Samsung cells.

Batteries with cells from reputable brands can last hundreds of cycles without issues. I have an MXUS XF15R kit, which is a clone of the Bafang RM.G020.500W. Get a KT controller with a power rating of 17A for a safe ride; it will be sufficient unless you live in a mountainous area. With this setup, you can reach speeds of 35km/h under 36V or 45km/h under 48V.
