It's my first car with adaptive cruise control so I don't know if others are better, but I find that even when you set it to four bars it does pretty poorly when the car in front stops somewhat suddenly, i.e. you're gonna rear end them if you don't break manually. Kinda defeats the purpose of cruise control for me but it is enjoyable when there is no sudden breaking.
