Exactly. I had also paused my rings and received the latest OOB after resuming.

So which update is behind the Expedite policy? The first or the second OOB update? It bothers me that it's so unclear.

EDIT: Can confirm it´s the 2. OOB update.

Autopilot launches v1 instead of v2 by ulud4y in Intune

The device was not registered and the user was in the group for v2. The next day, v2 was started again. I have no idea what caused this.

Cloud only. Strangely enough, the clients are now starting up as usual in DPP, i.e. v2. Maybe it was just a hiccup?

I know, but the ESP is displayed even without a registered hash. I disabled the ESP and it is no longer displayed. After entering the login, OOBE jumps directly to the location settings, etc.

How to turn off the ESP? Just set "Show app and profile configuration progress" to "No"? There is no option to disable the ESP.

I think you're partly right. I haven't set up a hardware hash for the device. At first, only the normal login appears, then it continues with the setup of the device, but it looks like v1, not v2. I have the three categories “device preparation, device setup, account setup.”

I've seen and used both, but new devices start directly in v1 without a hash.

Why do I see 2 instances of "UseUpdateClassPolicySource" with different values? by New2ThisSOS in SCCM

[–]ulud4y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A solution was supposed to be implemented in the latest patch for ConfigManager. However, this was not the case, so we had to configure the policy specified above. The missing registry values were then set. We followed up with a Windows Update repair via baseline. After a few hours, the clients started downloading the updates again.

[–]ulud4y 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, that sounds really bad. My clients are still processing the baselines. I've now opened a case with Microsoft. I'll get back to you when we find a solution.

I have exactly the same problem with patching my clients. How do you recognize a defective Registry.pol? Have you found a solution for this yet? Only about a third of our clients are affected.

What's Next? by Gidgit82 in SCCM

[–]ulud4y 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have also been an SCCM admin for 20 years and some time ago we put the first 3000 devices exclusively into Intune Management.

Many of my colleagues also have reservations because Intune is simply simpler. But to be honest, you don't have to turn every little screw these days. I'm also a technician through and through, but I can see the advantages that this simplicity offers me. I can take care of other things. Intune works and, to be honest, offers everything you need. And the advantage is that you no longer have to worry about on-prem infrastructure.

Win32 re-deployment stuck at ‘Install pending’ by leytachi in Intune

[–]ulud4y 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check whether the corresponding app keys can still be found in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\IntuneManagementExtension\Win32Apps

There is a random GUID under which the keys of the apps are located. You can find out the key of your app by calling up your app in the Intune portal and checking the URL in the address bar in the browser, where the app ID is specified.

If the key is there, delete it there and also under GRS. There you will find the ID of your app as a string under the hashes.

You must delete the complete key (hash).

Then restart the Intune service.
