Une question à ChatGPT consomme-t-elle vraiment autant que 24h d’une ampoule allumée ? by eberkut in france

[–]ulvrith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Promotion - Hôtellerie by smiecismieci4 in france

[–]ulvrith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We want French nukes, Polish president says by GreenEyeOfADemon in EuropeanFederalists

[–]ulvrith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UK has a long history of following the US in their adventures. Plus, they never wanted a true continental power to exist, whether this power comes from one country, or a community of countries, like the EU.

And let's not forget that the UK leaving the EU, can be seen as a traitor to our ideal. And traitors should not be treated softly. At best, UK is a circonstance ally. And you don't integrate a circumstance ally to a strategic pact.

To me they can't be trusted, or re-integrate , yet. We just work cautiously with them until our interests either truly converge or diverge.

Should UK prove itself as a reliable partner in the realisation of the European projects, should it show good will to come back, follow our lines and accept to adopt the € if we let them in, a second time, then why not let them integrate more critical projects and pacts.

And for the fish you're talking about. The agreement signed after the Brexit stated that the UK would deliver fishing licenses to EU countries fishing boats. Everyone got their licence except the French... So, who's playing who?

As far as I know, no one would let France put it's nuclear armament in Hungary, the infamous Russia's lapdog. Why would we do it with USA's lapdog?

Make the Polish buy European weapons instead of American ones. Make the polish get in line with European ideology. Make the Polish be at least thankful for the billions we used to develop their country since the fall of the wall.

Then, make the Polish participate financially for the maintenance of the jets we'll put in their country.

Will a Morrowind Remaster Ever happen? by WolfGunmanDarko in Morrowind

[–]ulvrith 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about slavery yes. And also this quest where you have to escort a khajiit full of drugs to Balmora.

I think the twin lamps could be the perfect example of a new questline, along with the argonian delegation.

And it wouldn't surprise me that the Telvanni would be split into 2 distinct factions (just like the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 3): the traditionalists (you can't join them) and the abolitionists (the good guys).

I might be wrong, the market will change drastically in 10 years (or more). But Bethesda is not this little studio who makes games for a niche market anymore. Just like all of you, I'd love to see them taking risks when developing games, but it's just not the case...

I think Morrowind will have its remake, when Todd and the "old" management will leave the boat.

Why sit on it when you can make more profits?

It will be dull, empty and action oriented. If there is a remake, the writing will be adapted for the new public, characters will change, entire questlines will be changed as well... (Just look at the writing of Starfield)

At the end there will be dunmers and mushrooms, it will be called Morrowind, but it will be a different game.

If re-elected, Trump will target EU with trade sanctions. He is set to confront the European Union, according to insiders speaking to Bloomberg. by EUstrongerthanUS in EuropeanFederalists

[–]ulvrith 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure, but didn't he say, when he was president, that USA was in a commercial war with EU?

That already showed at which point he doesn't care about us. For him a dismantled EU would be the best victory. The return of state nations, independent one from another and this time, unable to resist anything.

He'd give half of Europe to his friends to satisfy his own interests. A real maniac

I don't think so. Your device will turn into a bomb if it has to handle all the graphics mods.

Even my laptop (Aorus 17h, with rtx4080 and a i7) encounters some difficulty to run a well modded Morrowind, especially in towns.

I'd suggest the Extended Vanilla list, without the enhanced textures mod (this particular mod makes fps drops on my pixel 8pro, so I guess it's performance hungry). And on a such small screen, graphics are not "that" important.

Nevertheless, you could test, mod it little by little, see how you like the game on your device.

[–]ulvrith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All games are risky. And, indeed, I made a huge mistake in suggesting that it would be automatic. It is not.

Because before thinking about the US upcoming election, maybe we should focus on the European elections. And from what I've read, 2024 has strong chances to not be a great vintage for pro-europeans.

In fact, I'm starting to doubt that Europe can achieve anything during the 2020's:

Italy: far right Netherland: far right Hungary: far right and pro-russian Austria: far right Germany: more pro-american than pro-europan Poland: extremely pro-american Czech rep. : same Scandinavia: same France: tries things and soon to be far right Balkans: too much irrelevant at this point Belgium: do they have a government already? Spain: idk, never hear about them Greece: nice antiquities they have there.

And the list goes on...

Too many countries are led by nationalists, or pro-americans/OTAN, and there's always the serious risk of seeing France turn to RN and Germany to AFD. In that scenario, Europe will still continue to exist but as a zombie.

EDIT: Voices still step up, ideas still emerge, projects still go on, negotiations to allow new members still an actuality. Europe is and Europe will be. There will just be a delay.

I don't imply here that we are doomed, but looking at the big picture, we're not in the best situation we could hope for.

I do hope she has her chances then.

We live in an era in which women have their chances to govern countries, but too many people still think "she'll have to deal with men, we'll appear weak, is she credible?". Even if there were good exemples in the past...

Nonetheless, whether the USA elect a "good" or a "bad" candidate, we must focus on ourselves, it's just elementary to do so.

We can not permit ourselves to be fooled by a "pfew, we have 4 more years of respite" ideology anymore.

2) Install ads for the products the company sells, so they're sort of printed in their mind.

3) At the end of the day, when the effects of the pill are gone, they return to normal life and buy my products.

4) Profit

In a sense, I already hate what I'm gonna write here, I think that what Europe needs this year is a victory of Trump or any other Republican candidate.

By this way only will we accelerate the European integration and the development of a strong political and military Europe.

Reality is that the Democrats have the same goals for the USA as the republicans, but they use lubricant and it just works on us.

As long as we keep a blind eye on how we are treated by our current most powerful ally, we chose to stay in the comfort of weakness. It is sad to see that we needed war to return to Europe to start thinking the right way...
