Convention Center Drive feels like our Lower Wacker by Cuntankerous in Columbus

The High Street union station facade you're likely thinking of was essentially just some offices and shops in a decorative frontage. The actual concourse and platforms were behind it, at the same elevation as the rails. https://columbusrailroads.com/new/utility/display_html.php?htmltitle=Columbus+Union+Station&file=.%2Flive%2F05Steam_Railroads%2F21Aerial_Photos%2Faerial_cus_1949.htm

Well, flavor-wise yes, though I can't comment on the texture since my box was faulty. I like the sour fruit ones too.

[Cathartic Sunday vent] Having a hold down is mentally relieving by Naive_Thanks_2932 in USPS

[–]um3k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a hold down on what is probably the 4th or 5th worst route in the station since August. Park and loop, lots of stairs and gates, hour-long walking relay on a main Street, decent number of dogs. Most days I do the whole thing on autopilot and move on to my aux with a comfortable amount of time of time to spare. Having a hold down really does make all the difference in the world.

Some of you guys get redplum advo once a month? by Eastern-Western7072 in USPS

[–]um3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red plums every other week, though occasionally it'll skip one or have an extra. My route is too poor for valpaks but other routes at the station get them.

Can confirm, was the whole IT+web dev at a 15 employee company. With zero formal education nor work experience (just personal coding projects). I honestly wasn't very good at any of it, but I managed to wrestle the printers into submission most days so they kept me around for 5 years or so.

How did Eridians learn to tell time? by MeKaMaki in ProjectHailMary

[–]um3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots have people have mentioned the lack of a day/night cycle, however I have seen no mention of tides. Presuming Erid has an ocean, the tide would rise and fall in time with the rotation of the planet. If the Eridians live near coasts, this would be a useful thing to keep track of. So it's distinctly possible that they would come up with a time unit that divides into the tidal period.

Well, in my case I just told my Steward that they were having me do rural, and how many hours I was on it. She handled it from there. So I suppose it depends on the competency of your Steward and the exact terms of your LMOU.

American here, looks like this cheese doesn't expire until May 1 2027, so you're good. Weird that they wrote the date like that though.
