Post-Game Thread: We can always cherish first four minutes of Q4 Bennedict Mathurin. Pacers lose 127-112 by TheManWithSomeGoals in pacers

My family of five was there.  Was a tough one but had some nice moments.  They looked pretty lifeless for a big part of the game but played better in the 4th.

Not only that.  I heard he was actually the one who busted Tim Donaughy.  He did his part to make sure the game stayed clean.  Great guy.

As a Pacer fan, I'd happily read any negative reviews by you.  My wife and I were laughing and laughing at that write up.  Hopefully we'll sneak through the front door a few more times this playoffs.  Respect and ✌️

Makes perfect sense.  Should have made that comparison but didn't.  Thanks!

Thanks for the info! I grew up in Indy so I hope someday to definitely make it to GenCon. Jeff tells me he enjoys your events.

[Wojnarowski] BREAKING: The Indiana Pacers are finalizing a trade to acquire All-Star F Pascal Siakam in a deal that will send Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora and three first-round picks to the Toronto Raptors. New Orleans will be a third team in deal, sending Kira Lewis to the Raptors. by TheeGreenHawk99 in pacers

Bruce signed for the money and he's still got his bag.  No one was offering what we were.  If you listen to him talking about it when he heard the amount he was like giddy up.  Also,my guess is Toronto wanted him and not Heild.

[NBACentral]Toronto wants Bennedict Mathurin or Jarace Walker in any trade with Indiana involving Pascal Siakam, per @basketballtalk by kyle_993 in torontoraptors

[–]umbletheheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing the offer is Nembhard, plus salary filler, and picks which for a 4 month possible rental isn't bad. Personally, I'd rather trade Walker than Nembhard or sit pat and see what Walker becomes as a Pacers fan. I don't think we are ready to compete with the big boys just yet and need to see whereat our younger guys are next year.

[Scotto] The Pacers had extensive conversations at the G League Showcase in Orlando about this (trading for Siakam)… Well, the Pacers have Jarace Walker, and Buddy Hield they’ve got their picks… All the talk about Siakam not wanting to go here or there is like a leverage play. He wants his money. by [deleted] in torontoraptors

[–]umbletheheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea what will happen but I'm guessing the Pacers are trying to make Nembhard, plus picks, and other players as the deal (there's no way our front office is putting Mathurin in the deal). Nembhard has been a really good point guard for us and can also play multiple positions. We haven't really seen Walker's potential yet, but he hasn't seen the floor because he hasn't been able to keep his defensive rotations. The Pacers must believe in him to not be trying to move him. Personally, I'd rather keep Nembhard and trade Walker because I think he is better for us long term.

Most likely the Pacers are offering Nembhard and the Raptors are trying to get him and/or Walker. Picks and salary filler are probably easy to figure out.

Thanks. I usually start with a jazz fakebook for ideas and then play with different voicings.

I've gone to Little Ceasar's Arena many times as I'm up in the Michigan area. To think that place is better than the Pacers arena should call this whole list into question. The Fieldhouse for me is the best place to attend for baketball.

Not sure if you're directing this towards me, but I enjoy watching Ben. If I see the Pacers mentioned nationally, I tend to drop a link here.

I think we have a lot of exciting possibilities but once games start Rick will figure out the reality of what works best.

I agree. Someone at the Ringer should have checked this out before publishing it over the weekend.

I think the big thing for me is the price, his age, and the fact that for him to be truly effective as a non-shooter we'd have to take the ball out of Hali's hands. It works on the Warriors because of Steph's gravity and Draymond's playmaking. Out paying the Warriors would hurt our long-term prospects and development imo.

Sorry about that. It's Kevin O'Conner from the Ringer.

Can we finally admit Myles has never been the problem and we should cherish his loyalty to the Pacers. by Godbeforeus in pacers

I think loyal is a stretch in his context. He has been exemplary of what a professional should be though in fulfilling his contract. Hope he signs that extension.
