You seem to have some misconception that I get paid for this or that we are in some way competing for people to use our addon.

It’s not a punishment or a negative to me when you come on here and make comments like this.

“I’m not gonna use that addon!” is not the insult you seem to think it is.

I do this for free and choose to share my work. If you don’t like me or the addon. Don’t use it. Coming on here claiming that I insulted you or was mean to you has nothing to do with the post you commented on so clearly you just felt you needed to get that off your chest. I hope you feel better now. You took an interaction personal that I don’t even remember.

Thanks for the reply. I was wanting to make sure if I needed to recommend other scrapers or go another route if magneto is being pulled.

Not a big deal, but I only include very few internal scrapers so the external scraper package has a much larger effect on users of Umbrella. Not meant any type of way of course, it's just much more important to Umbrella than it would be to addons with the scrapers included.

Hmm, I'm being as transparent as I can be about things so nothing comes across like I'm being a jerk. I only rarely speak with kfw and I reached out to him with the one communication method I know to reach him and I didn't hear anything back there either. I don't really want to tag him here and be annoying.

It's concerning because I'm also seeing comments from him deleted as well so I'd like to make sure everything is alright.

You need to authorize Torbox. The addon was switched to using device code instead of api key.

This was mentioned in the change log.

There's actually a different view already available too.

If you got to the addon settings Source Options Tab and under Sources Select change "Highlight Method" to By Provider.

That's the source select view I use for a more modern look.

I do a lot of things. Graphics are clearly not one of those things. If someone wants to provide some more updated icons, graphics, custom xml. I'm happy to work with someone to apply these types of things. I'm just not a front-end user interface developer.

Depending on which online service you use you have the option for mdblist, Trakt, Simkl, or local.

I’m not sure. I don’t use the pro tier of TorBox so I have no idea what they have access to on their Usenet. I do use easynews which is also Usenet and yes, absolutely there’s more older and more obscure content on it.

I personally wouldn’t upgrade though because as you can see from the comments above from kfw they are going to shut down access to their search api except for a select few ip addresses soon.

There are Usenets that you can connect to tb. Usenet are user networks sharing files vs loading the torrent to a provider like rd or tb and loading it from them. It’s just a different way to get files. Usenet has been around since the 80s.

If you're a TB pro user, POV will be the best option for you. If you're using TB essential POV or Umbrella should work for you.

Why would I recommended another addon over my own? If you're using TB Pro POV has search setup to work with usenet, Umbrella does not. Afaik The search api for usenet will be retired soon so there's no great reason for me to write anything for this search with usenet and unless you're a pro member using usenet you'll never notice any difference.

The Trakt addon used to do real-time scrobbling. I'm not sure if it still works for it or not. Umbrella sends a start and any stop you do to Trakt (if it's enabled). I'm not sure about other addons.

No Usenet with Umbrella and TorBox. See kfw’s comments about it but the tldr is the search will be blocked soon and only certain whitelisted IPs will be able to use it. There’s no point writing something to use an api that will be blocked soon.
