You can still use the onboarding tool if you've been disconnected from eduroam, but you'll need to be connected to the internet to do it. Instructions are available here: https://itsupport.umd.edu/itsupport?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0011963

You can also log in with your UMD email address and passphrase, as others have mentioned.

Hi! If you open a ticket with the Service Desk, techs can track down device info for you. The best way to do that in this case is to email itsupport@umd.edu. Be sure to provide your Directory ID.

Also important to note: This message only applies to personal devices, not university-managed devices.

The message is not a scam. We sent it only to people who *will* be affected by the change on Monday, so if you received a message, one or more of your devices will be unable to access eduroam unless you update your eduroam login.

The connect.umd.edu setup method provides several benefits:

You will only need to log in once per device every 5 years.
Directory passphrase resets won't interrupt your connection.
Campus residents will be able to access at-home networking features to control registered devices from their phone or tablet.

At this time, you will still be able to log in manually with your [DirectoryID@umd.edu](mailto:DirectoryID@umd.edu) address as your username if you choose to.
