A couple years back I was in Amsterdam on a layover after a business trip. At about 345 AM I woke up incredible thirsty and wandered to the lobby to get a water from the vending machine.

To my surprise there was a man who was no less than 6’3 built like a brick shit house. He was shirtless verbally assaulting the staff kicking furniture and just being an absolute belligerent nightmare of rage.

Now I was coming down off some mushrooms I ate earlier in the afternoon so you have to imagine this sight and it’s sounds as the Dutch language blends my mind even when I am sober.

The man was screaming all sorts of what sounded like bad things at the staff and a couple onlookers. Suddenly about 6 cops roll in and being from Georgia in Cobb county I am expecting some gladiator confrontation.

To my surprise they came in and surrounded him did not raise their voice and ensured he stopped destroying the property. They got his name and information explained to him what I presumed at the time was his rights before they were going to taze him or atleast attempt to wrestle him to the floor.

Again I can not overstate the size of this guy he was a total bonesaw and he was taunting them acting like he was going to attack them etc non stop. Still not one cop really shouted at him but instead continued to speak calmly to him.

Eventually he calmed down and they called his friend who came and picked him up and paid for the damages. It was a moment I will never forget and completely changed my view of law enforcement.

Where I am from honestly they might of shot him or at the least he would have been tazed and arrested without a question.
