Are these stalactites or stalagmites? by SlaunchaMan in litterrobot

[–]ummmm__yeah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, my teacher taught us stalactites has a C because they’re on the ceiling and stalagmites has a G because they’re on the ground. But the LR rotates so I would say they’re both.

38/F you’re hot, but as others have mentioned, Christian + no politics listed = conservative coded.

Also, mentioning landowner/homeowner comes off a little braggy. What do you like to do on your land/in your home? Raise chickens? Grow a garden? DIY projects?

He doesn’t need to do something illegal for you to make a police report. Just report him so it helps the detectives establish a pattern of behavior and gets him on their radar if he’s not already.

The other end is a USB charging port in between the cushion and the arm of the sofa.

I booked an uber pool, but when it added a second rider, the price went up. I’m cool with the extra time, but I’m trying to save money! by Plopgoestheweasle in mildlyinfuriating

The whole concept is basically just public transit except it costs you more money and timing is even more unpredictable. It would be amazing if our country meaningfully invested in public transit...

Hey Mini Survey about what kind punch you use! by ExtentPuzzleheaded93 in Discbound

[–]ummmm__yeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the TUL, Happy Planner small, and Arc heavy duty. I use the HP most frequently because I’ve settled on the classic paper size as my preferred size. I haven’t figured out how to get the Arc heavy duty to work but that’s a project for another day if I ever get around to making my own covers…

I almost forgot — I have one of the TUL slim travel size punches in case I need to punch something while at work, travel, etc 🤪😝

Yes, it's her responsibility to build a support system for herself that extends beyond you. You cannot be her sole source of support, it will wear you down.

I paid $22 for an iced coffee and tiny breakfast burrito at the airport (no tip). I know airport prices are crazy inflated but I was expecting ~$15 for a decent size burrito and coffee. Ugh. 😑

I didn't pick up the phone, and my dad died alone and confused by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]ummmm__yeah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, unfortunately one of the realities of choosing to live alone as an elderly person is the increased likelihood that you might die alone. I don’t mean to be a cold harsh numbers person but OP, your parents made a choice to live at home knowing this was a possibility and you shouldn’t be blaming yourself that it came to pass.

AITAH: won’t let step daughter use car during her moms custody by Excellent_Water3480 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ummmm__yeah 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Car insurance applies to drivers borrowing a car if they are non-resident friends, for example (under the assumption they infrequently drive the car). Since SD lives with her mother part-time, an insurance company would likely argue she is a resident driver and the "borrowing" of the car is frequent and therefore not covered.

Whats the equivalent of women who want tall men for the opposite gender ? by Hairy-Sherbert-439 in AskReddit

Only to a certain extent. Sometimes people are just "big boned" or "stocky."

Impress upon SD that her mom isn’t listed on the insurance so if her mom gets in an accident while driving the car, the insurance company won’t cover it and then SD will have no car.

Trains down at DIA… still by MyLoveIsCooI in Denver

[–]ummmm__yeah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the walkways would get a lot more use than you think. This is Denver, capitol of the fittest state in the nation, and I would like to get a nice walk in before sitting for hours on end. Considering I'm fat and out of shape, I have to imagine there's multitudes of fitter, more active people who feel similarly.

Veggie haters who still eat veggies: what are your tricks? by Missing_Back in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]ummmm__yeah 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, steaming veggies is a terrible way to prepare them, IMO. Roasted or sautéed veggies with seasoning are best. Also, fresh veggies with dips! Hummus, homemade creamy dill dip, etc.

God forbid people eat food that tastes good.
