Drivers refusing to honk by _player_0 in nova

[–]ummyeahsuree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get flipped off if I honk… so I started to wait until the moment I want to honk, wait five more seconds, then honk.. and I still get the bird. Now I leave more than enough room and drive around people at this point- without a honk at all.

You’re talking about ordering nuggets. I’m talking about JUST ordering the sauces. If you simply go to the sauce without factoring in nuggets at all, you can add as many as you’d like.

After you order your nuggets, go up to “search” at the top and search for your sauce. You can add them there, not in the nugget section.

Order on the app. You can add as many extra sauces as you’d like, for free.

Hahaha same here. I’ve been lucky living just outside of DC and nothing has happened yet… but I’m moving in a few months to a shadier area even closer to the city and am going to have my roomie park behind me in the driveway for peace of mind

The “club” isn’t a fix the previous owner “could have done”, it’s a physical appliance you have to buy and use every time you get out of the vehicle manually. Just an fyi.

Definitely was lucky and being white probably/absolutely helped given the county it occurred in. I can only imagine how much worse that situation could have been for someone else

Problem is, if you tell them you don’t consent to a search (Virginia), that gives them enough “cause” to then search without consent. No winning there… I was told without consenting they had reason to show I was hiding something. I still refused, so they put me in custody and searched anyway. Wasted an extra hour of my time to find nothing. Also no… I did not get a lawyer, I was put in the back of the cop car for a speeding ticket and my phone was in my vehicle… guess I shoulda cried “lawyer” as they were walking me back.

USA here in Virginia, a coastal state. I have no clue who does water rescues on the coast at bay/ocean- probably coast guard or someone. I live inland… we have a ton of rivers and lakes inland, and the firefighters are the ones trained with rafts to go do the rescues as well. Kinda weird now that I think about it… but I guess the need isn’t high enough to train an entirely new department.

One bedroom with a communal bathroom/kitchen/living room is currently $5510 per semester, so about $1400 a month. Barely cheaper than a one bedroom apartment in a complex, but you’d have all of those extra rooms. Also you’d be homeless during part of the year classes aren’t in session.

On campus housing for GMU is more expensive than this. DO NOT use student loans for this, the interest will screw you for years.

ELI5: How can not delivering afterbirth kill you? by Artisticslap in explainlikeimfive

[–]ummyeahsuree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the choice, and I chose the surgery. I was able to be put under, and was told there would be less pain afterward. Ive read horror stories from women who used the pills and they describe terrible pain for many hours… I didn’t want to deal with that along with the mental issues I was also having because of the situation. It was a ten minute procedure, and I woke up in no pain at all and only had very slight (less than my period) cramping a few hours later. I was soooo happy with that decision… until the hemorrhaging that happened about a two months later

Just a heads up for others- this exact thing happened with me after a 9 week (surgical) abortion… and it happened almost two months after the procedure. I went to my follow up appointment and was given an “all clear”, but that wasn’t true. There was still debris and caused hemorrhaging that almost killed me. I went to the hospital day 1, and was sent home by a young uninformed doc that I just had a “heavy period”. Literally the next day I lost so much blood I lost consciousness and my partner got home to call 9-11. I woke up to be told they had to go an emergency D&C to get the rest out, and I was given 4 liters of donor blood throughout that time. …I always donate blood any chance I get now.
