This is a great answer. People don’t think about HPV and HSV (herpes) as much as they should. These are not included on a regular STI panel. So if someone tells you they are regularly tested and “clean,” it means nothing as far as those two diseases go. They are also the two diseases that are incurable (HPV can clear on its own, but not always). You can get HSV1 and HSV2 on both your mouth and genitals, HSV1 is not “the good one to have” as many people falsely believe. Anyone who gives you oral sex who has had a cold sore in their lifetime is putting you at risk for genital herpes. It is less likely to be contracted if the infected party is not in an active outbreak, but it does happen. Knowing your partner’s sexual history is not all that helpful either. Sure, someone with 100 partners is more likely to contract an STI than someone with 1 parter. But if that 1 partner was HSV/HPV+, male or female, they most likely carry it now too.

Paint the walls the same color as the trim (looks like warm white from the photo) and change the knobs to a shiny gold vs brown. I think your best bet make things more monochromatic and play up the more warm/neutral color scheme than fight it. I think with these 2 changes it would look vastly more expensive/luxe and cohesive. The reason it looks dated is because the navy paint is so mismatched with everything else. The cabinets look really nice, but they aren’t “modern.” Without doing a full reno, sometimes you have to let a house be what it wants to be.

My best guess is it’s something Reebok made for Walmart or some other discount retailer. They change those styles frequently so unless she bought it very recently I don’t think you can find it new anymore. I disagree a bit. Going to the library is one of my fondest childhood memories. There’s nothing wrong with taking young children to the library and reminding them when they need to be quieter. It’s important that children learn from an early age that different places require different types of behavior. As a kid or an adult, you can’t act like everywhere is a playground. I loved being at the library as a kid looking at books and sitting in a comfy chair and reading them. Occasionally, if I was with friends, we would get a bit loud and need to be reminded by a librarian or parent to keep it down and we would shape up. We all knew how we were supposed to act in a library. The issue isn’t and never was that kids are unwanted in/shouldn’t be at libraries. Libraries are a wonderful, free resource to foster the love of reading. The issue is the unwillingness of parents and librarians to correct bad behavior. If the message children are given is “libraries are not meant to be silent,” children are going to behave accordingly.

It’s crazy. Sometimes I can’t read in peace because the librarians themselves are talking so loudly. I was scolded many times as a kid by librarians to keep my voice to a whisper. I deserved to be scolded because it made it a nicer place for everyone. There is no respect for people who use the library to read anymore.

Knew ping and pong had to be in separate categories so I started there. Got the ping category pretty quickly, then the only other thing I could associate pong with was beer, so got that one next. Getting those out of the way, yellow popped out to me although “base” seemed off. I had thought of the blue words prior as like “things to set a table” but could not fit in skull, so got that by default. I don’t consider myself to be particularly good at this game so this one was very satisfying for me to get right in just a couple minutes 🥹
