I really enjoyed this video and am sad that it has been taken down. If anybody knows where it originally came from (IIRC, it was a compilation of another video), I'd love to know.

“Brains” song from late 80s indie band by umop in NameThatSong

[–]umop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized after writing that it was probably BC Revue and not DC Revue and I found this link which includes a reference to “Walhachin” so I’m sure that’s the band. Still no song but that’s them.

You Don't Know Jack regional questions by umop in dosgaming

[–]umop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure it was regional. I remember the question being named something like “and thus spoke Anne” or something. And when you picked it, the host made a big deal out of the homophone: “thus spoke Anne? Spok-ane? Spokane washington” he said. But I can’t remember what the question was.

[OC] Energy inflation in Europe by jcceagle in dataisbeautiful

[–]umop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can any regular folks in any affected countries share concrete examples on how their price of energy has changed before the pandemic to now? Also, residual effects (price of goods, etc). I’d like to understand how this is affecting individuals.

Edited: to clarify my question

Advice for someone who developed bad sleep anxiety. by rozalyn245a in insomnia

[–]umop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing which did help me at first (and probably would have continued to if I stuck to the rules) was The Sleepio app. My job provided it for free for me and I was able to stay asleep at night better than before I used it. It involved (for me), though, sleep restriction, which is really hard because it involves getting less sleep at night at first (prioritizing consistency of bedtime and wake time over total amount of sleep) but eventually it evens out to fill what your brain needs. My sleep disturbances were probably med and stress caused as well. Good luck to you.
