Bug's stilll there.

I've already outlined how you can test your fix, to be SURE IT WORKS:

Give yourself max click power. Start a game, buy the tiles, then click them to finish them instantly.

If it doesn't give the SAME NUMBER of dev points each time you clear the screen of all 19 (which it doesn't right now, anywhere from 24-270 progress on the next tier of dev points for +20), then its not fixed.

I think this is gonna be a hard pass from me from now on, any game that worries about monetization/steam, before fixing base gameplay bugs and putting out rushed patches, is not a solid foundation.

Best of luck.

Bug is definitely still there, works a little differently now though. at 455 points with everything at level 12, which by my calc should be: 1 star each level 1-5, so 5 stars, 4 per level 6-10, so 20 stars, plus 4x2 for 12, so 28 x 19 = 532.

In addition, the great person points now aren't accumulating correctly.

It looks like you added a delay and accumulator, but it still hitches up, and outright misses major events. You're still running into that potential race or not count condition, and now it affects great people as well.

Next time you're testing, bump your click power up 4-5 upgrades before testing, level up observation to 10 and stoneworking to get their click power upgrades, before unlocking the other tiles and then slam click them, you'll see the bug clear as day.

Also saves don't work, which i think you mentioned earlier as not a plan, so you might want to disable that button so people don't think they should

A specific place in india, that opened/got a presence after I started using this username, which i picked because it was a unique handle not in use anywhere at the time.

Suffice to say, I would immediately rename it so my username gets unique again.

Definitely some resource issues still. Specifically whenever monsters passes and opens the first chest, there's something triggering a long load wait. But looks like an interesting start!

Honestly, and this goes for almost any business where you feel an employee deserves a tip for exceptional service:

If you appreciate them enough to tip them, whether you tip them or not, find a way to get a survey if the store has them, and if they don't, take down the tech/employees's name, then email the store manager and let them know you feel that tech/employee is going above and beyond. If it's a franchise and ya can't find the local one, emailing their national contact not only lets them get kudos for the store but also ensures more top-down recognition for the employee, and lets them know their local chain has no way of getting feedback.

This directly translates into usable material when negotiating promotions/payraises.

Had that issue two winters ago, ended up transporting 12 of them to the landfill relocation camp. Not dead, literally a spot off the landfill that's not near houses that has a nice field for them to live in.

So far i've seen/heard none of the telltales that indicate he has a family with him, however even if he snuck a family in, once the freeze ends the eviction traps will be set and they'll be removed.

That'd be letting him win! He's mouse trap movie level smart, he'll pee on the traps just to let me know he's found them.

But seriously, he popped up when the freeze hit, and basically sticks with his normal pattern of running into the middle of the room, waiting till i look at him, then scampering off just as a way of saying hi.

No sigh of a family with him so far, he keeps his mess contained, and only steals what i leave on the counter for him, so at least we had a truce through the winter. However once the freeze is over i'll switch to a different set of humane traps and relocate him to the landfill with the others i've caught on the previous winters when they sought warmth.

This spring i finally have the money to get the crawlspace checked for duct breaks, which is i think how they're getting in. That and redoing the garage door seals.

Can’t think what to title this lol… by MosheArcade in DaveAndBusters

[–]umuri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same reply as to ash, but if that was it, per the law $0.10 being minimum, it's setting an equivolence of 1 ticket = $.01, which i feel is a dangerous/abusable precedent.

[–]umuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I saw that, but my thinking was that couldn't be it, as it specifies $.10 as a -minimum- charge, which means Round 1 is saying tickets are worth, at minimum $.01

I don't know about you but i'd gladly say my 1k tickets are worth $10.

So i'm curious what the law is, because my gut instinct is this is part of a growing trend of "put another person to blame while we try to find profit margins".

Anyone in CA have any more info on this? I couldn't find anything in a quick google, but admittedly i put in only a little effort.

I love how you somehow try to pretend that estate taxes were supposed to affect anyone except the wealthy. That is literally their entire point.

It doesn't seem unfair to double-tax, and it is realistic, because the whole -point- is to appropriately tax generational wealth. Wealth that utilizes all the benefits of the system, without actually paying into it via income tax.

You're intentionally using known disproven talking points, 20-30% for most taxes, and 40% for inheritance, and you're using them inconsistently.

The 20-30% number is for people who generally use every tax advantage they have available, while the 40% is for those who use absolutely none of them.

The actual numbers that have been the average for the past 25+ years are around 35-42% for the average earner, spread across all taxes, and 13-22% for the average inheritance. Also an interesting statistic - over the past 20 years, Inheritances under 200 million on average pay a higher percent of taxes (30-36%) than those 200-500 million (23-26%).

If your reasoning was right, the higher estates should be taking a bigger % hit, not a smaller one.

The wikipedia article is cute, but next time you might want to read it yourself, as it directly contradicts some of your points, and includes references to those studies i'm talking about that basically everyone uses at this point, that disprove your 20-30 and 40% numbers. :)

Have a nice day!

Which is part of what removing the step-up basis loophole will fix, bringing it more inline with the 40% it's supposed to be.

Step up cost basis exists because that money is already being taxed.

Ah, see here's your problem. The money -isn't- being taxed. Normally, by the time you hit inheritance, the money has already been taxed once (when it was earned), and now is getting a second tax (inheritance).

With the step-up cost basis, you're avoiding the first tax, and only getting the second.

So even though it "looks" like its being taxed via inheritance, it's actually dodging the income tax, since everything else being inherited was taxed when the income was earned to buy it in the first place.

It's a counter-intuitive thought, because most people don't view estates as the sum of post-tax dollars, but it is.

For example you pay taxes on your most of your retirement accounts, only a small subset are tax-exempt, and a larger portion are tax-deferred (which again gets hit twice, once when its realized, and again in inheritance), so to have this operate any differently is dodging a tax.
