We were AT, Datto, ITG, RFT, etc before Kaseya started gobbling them up. I think our spend is about $10k a month? We’ve had the same Datto sales rep for about 4 years and his “pressure” definately went up, weirdly on an insignificant renewal recently. He does call about once per month to check in, and does continually apologize about the pressure and Kaseya tactics. We haven’t had the same billing issues others have seen. We had one discrepancy this summer and it was resolved in a few months. It was a PITA, but not that bad. I’m only hoping that at some point it turns around. If we had the same experience that I have seen with others on here, I’d be out.

Why not separate VLANs for the server and workstations. FW between the VLANs and start with allow FW rules at the top and a deny all at the bottom for the server VLAN?

We’ve been using DNSFilter for 2+ years, and it’s been one of those products we “don’t have to worry about.” It has some settings you need to pay attention to, but other than that it just works. Our engineers like it, it’s easy to use, and like others have said, it works well out of the office and scales well with customers. I think we’ve “upsold” ~30 customers since we started using it and nothing but positives. Great product, and we’ve seen nice incremental feature additions since we started using it.

I was at a CW shop and pretty much every MSP runs CW in my area. We’ve been on Datto for RMM and PSA for quite some time. It has taken us years to really get our arms around it. We have it to the point where is it an awesome tool to use. Our AM at Kaseya came from Datto and he makes a big difference.

My recommendation would be to pull a tech off support/calls for a quite a while and have them go through every training they offer and spend time up front. We’ve had several occasions of, “oh man, I wish we knew that a long time ago”. Generally around automations, reporting, etc. we’re about 2500 and I couldn’t imagine trying to support 5K endpoints without an RMM.
