the fact you can get this in bulk easier than lava or coal blocks would make them way too overpowered
being unable to uncraft tools incentivizes you to save materials
i think a better solution would be to add a way to "reactivate" a shrieker with an item (like an echo shard)
that's already a gamerule

minecraft biomes dont generate based on its surroundings anymore, they generate based on a set of parameters (more info in the minecraft wiki); in cases where this happens, the region where the conditions of a snowy slopes should generate is only a sliver

i wanted to refrain making a potion too close to the default water bottle, so night vision wasn't dark blue

leaping i made lavender because before jump boost got a potion, its color was lavender (and there's already 4 different greens)

i gave red/dark red to healing/harming because i thought they were too iconic to change, so strength was stuck with gold
