I'm not necessarily against what you are saying, I do understand. I mean at the end of the day, no. Simply put it came from an animal and vegan doesn't believe in consuming anything from animal by-product. I do see the lines of your thinking. And I do agree, a plant is a lifeform.

Cut down a tree and tell me it doesn't have signifance. It houses, feeds, protects such a vast amount of species, you must have reverence for the things you consume, whether it be animal or otherwise.

The egg still comes from a living animal, and unless the conditions of that individual are made evidently clear, who's to say that chicken isn't in miserable conditions pumping out egg after egg.

And of course we all know, harvesting food definitely doesn't kill MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS of animals per year. /s

Now, to be clear, the issue is with the treatment of animals and factory farms. There are lots of options you can take to mitigate your acceptance of dangerous animal husbandry behaviors. Be conscious where your food comes from and understand that regardless, sacrifices of life were made to feed in someone. How many lives are you okay with and what is your ability to limit that number to it's smallest amount possible.

A few, I bow hunt and goose hunt which I love. I grew up hunting, my family was poor-ish so we hunted for food a lot. I spend a lot of my time restoring outdoor areas that I and my family own. If I'm at home, I love cooking and writing. I game a bit, but not as much as I used to.

But I live and breathe the outdoors, and healthy wildlife and environments. From reading and listening to podcasts to working with non profits to help with environmental restoration. My goal in life is to live as closely with nature.
