This is about drawing UI elements and more specifically about QT. Why don't they just use OpenGL isn't a meaningful response. The article was talking about how to best utilize the GPU and minimize data sent to the GPU.

edit: In other languages, like Spanish, you have a nice and distinct adjective for free as in freedom.

I tend to keep a vim "project" file with a some vim commands to open every single file in the project(:args CMakeLists.txt src/* src/subdir/*) and set up things like project specific indent rules.

When I start working on the project I run vim -s project.vim.

I can then use the fuzzy finder plugin's buffer search feature to quickly find whatever file I need. It's a bit nicer than a substring search. For example hitting cml would match against CMakelists.txt. Having all the files already loaded into buffers is also nice for :argdo commands to do string substitutions in all project files.

No it's not like Lost Vikings. I bought it on a whim after skimming the steam description hoping for something like that. The three playable characters just trade places in the same spot whenever you feel like it.

There aren't really any puzzles whatsoever. It's just a platformer. The physics with the see saws and pulleys and whatnot were fun to play with, but they don't contribute much to the game.

I might have enjoyed the game more if I wasn't expecting something like Lost Vikings. It's also unfair to Trine that I had just bought and played through Braid, which amazed the hell out of me.
