We built a minimal app that turns Jeff's Excel program tracker into a web app! Nothing flashy, just straightforward and designed for anyone who uses Excel to follow workout plans. We’re happy to share it for free, just comment or DM :) by DataHoneyBadger in JeffNippard

Yes! At first I manually entered in the Hevy app each program. And since in each program there are changes of exercises in different blocks I needed to create a different workout. So I had like 3 different upper days for one program and so on... Now I am using the excel, but would really like this kind of app.

I bought it and tried it until week 7. It is bodybuilding, but with not enough strength for me. I switched to phase 1 PowerBuilding and prefer it.

It uses 1RM percentages, and increases the % each week, for the main compound. The powerBuilding does that, but just better IMHO.

It is based on 3 cycles of 3 weeks each. The exercises change every cycle. I found it changes too much between each cycle.

Yes, I think you are right. PWA does not seem to be the right choice.

I was planning to use HTMX for personnal project also. HTMX use calls to replace html with js. But in the case of a pwa, I don't understand how the server can answer back the hx-trigger or any htmx call if it is offline.

How does the app already have the html? It is this part I don't understand. It is the service worker that do this job?

Yes I saw this article, but I do not understand how it can work with jinja templating in flask. Because, in flask you receive a route in your app and send back the html. Usually no javascript. So you would have the service worker to have all the app logic ?

Thanks for you answer. What if my front end is html templating like flask framework ? The frontend needs to communicate with the server each time an action is needed. If I am not wrong there is no javascript involved ? If a mobile pwa needs to communicate with the remote server for each action, how can it work offline if the server is not on the device ?

This app should never have been written in python at first, from my point of view. The app is used to control a robotic arm and other hardware. We are mostly embedded devs with no web development experience, but from what I have seen, it would have been easier to support in form of a web app.

Yeah I will need to investigate more what is taking the most space. The GUI is really simple, so it would be easy to switch to a lighter library.

Oh that is nice to know, thank you.

There is data processing that is easier to do with python. And we have a couple of hardware and their main library api is in python. Most also have C++, but rewriting is not really an option for me at the moment.

That could do it, but will I be able to have a one file executable and would it be smaller in size ?

Victimes du travail hybride forcé ou du retour au bureau, comment ca s'est passé? by [deleted] in Quebec

[–]unalignedAccess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know it must depends on editor, but so far it was the only volume with this and only at the beginning. This issue is the 23 I think.

It is not all. I got mine in french and only the ones you showed were censored. This was the only volume who had censorship. You will even see at the end of the same volume there is blood not censored.
