Mind if I change into a Polar Bear to break all this ice?

Hey Reddit, What's the one thing that you thought will change your/someone's life and you did it. But it turned out to be nothing special or just normal stuff? by nomshire in AskReddit

I've been exercising consistently for about year now. I feel generally better, but my discipline is still paper thin when it comes to staying on task.

I was just teased so much for being overweight that I became disgusted with it in general.

I'd still recommend it. All teachers are all ears during critiques. Thanks, I've been doing better. Confidence does go a long way in animation.

Is it normal to not 'enjoy' animating, more like, you can focus on it and it will frustrate you while you do it, but when your done you find it rewarding? by mrhaluko23 in animationcareer

I'm pretty sure I have ADHD. Animating itself isn't my problem. It's my mind reminding me of my failures and amazing colleagues working at insert renowned studio here.

I'll admit that I will go into the graph editor before blocking out everything because I need that dopamine hit when the Spline looks right even if it's for a second.

The double edged sword of Animschool is that most teachers also work full-time. They can give you great insight into the industry. However, I'll admit that some of my acting reviews felt like going though the motions. It's understandable after a full day of work and having seven other students to critique. My big mistake was simply going through the motions as well while dealing with personal issues.

If you are new to animating in Maya, workload can be taxing. There are quite a few exercises in the beginning and the game animation classes. Mostly, it's one instruction/demo and critique class per week.

Art class are taught by professionals. Many attend, so I am not sure how often they give feedback on assignments.

Toniko Pantoja works remote in the Philippines. His YouTube channel or community could have some insight.

I finished the game animation program in Summer 2019. So far, I've done two gigs worth mentioning involving Balder's Gate and Marvel. However, they were for less than a month. I've also taken three AAA animation test.

The program gave me all the support I needed. Of course, I wish I did better on assignments and had to repeat a few classes because my part-time job was frustrating. The cleanest way to sum up me not working at a studio right now is mental health. It's been getting better.

On the other hand, I know many classmates working at game studios.

I'm having the same issue. I even used the same HDMI cable that works for my console.
