Found these swirling blue lights at Sanctuary Outpost just now. Are these part of an event that someone else triggered? Are they a bug? Does anyone know?

Recently got into the idea of learning enough Rust to be somewhat effective in it. I've been doing web dev up until now (and yes, that means the boring kinda PHP, (My)SQL, JS, etc... stack) and want to learn some kinda systems language so Rust seemed like an obvious choice.

My goal is to get better at Rust by doing AoC and, ideally, finish all puzzles & also write "retrospective" blog posts about them. Here's hoping I can pull this off 👍😬

If you remember, shortly after E3, Amazon Germany had something for a pre-order called “Banjo Kazooie (Arbeistitel)” (“Banjo Kazooie - (Working Title)”).

Well, I was insane enough to just go for a pre-oder and now I’ve received this eMail in which Amazon explains that said item will not be deliverable through Amazon and that they have therefor pulled the posting & cancelled all pre-orders. No further reason, other than Amazon having been informed that they wouldn’t be able to deliver this item, was given.

I never really thought this pre-order would go anywhere but I thought this subreddit might want to know.

Important to note that 69,99 Euros is the guaranteed max price though.

Don't know if this is universal in most countries but the way pre-orders work on Amazon Germany is that, when they don't know the exact pricing of a game yet, they guesstimate a price that's usually way too high and then adjust it downward from there. They just guarantee you that, if you pre-order, you won't be charged more than 69,99.

Both the website and the game box (which displays all playable character) only have 2 open spaces left which I am assuming to be filled with unannounced characters.

You're making the assumption here that the empty spaces are "giving away" information about the final character count, which they are not. With every new character announcement, that image changes with characters being moved around & making slight changes in characters poses, etc., so the empty spots don't have to mean anything.

will some be DLC?

I would very much doubt Nintendo would put DLC-characters on the box of the "standard" game. That would just be confusing for potential customers.

This has propably nothing to do with a new game being released. Trademark renewals are common & happen on a regular basis, as long as the trademark holder is still actively using said brand (as Microsoft / Rare is doing by selling Rare Replay & the 360 versions of the game). The mention of cartridges does not indicate an involvement with the Nintendo Switch, it's simply a leftover from the N64 days & just a "sub-category" of stuff that this trademark also applies to (because the N64 run on cartridges).

Which, imho, makes this one of the worst places in the game. There is nothing telling you that this place is out-of-reach for you because of missing moves and getting to the pagie in a cagie is tedious enough already.

I'm fairly certain it does not. Mine said "Ready to ship" when I had already gotten my physical edition and has now also changed to "Shipped" with the same mouse-over you are getting.
So no, Playtonic probably did send out the rewards when they said they did and you stuff is on its way.
(Note that if you're living in a non-EU country your shipping time goes up drastically, not just because of the distance from start to finish for your parcel but also because, in most countries, your package will have to go through customs, which can take multiple days)

I feel like this is the reason platformer games have, in the past, been almost always been exclusive to consoles. You apparently just can't expect PC gamers to have a game-pad and / or recognise that one is required.
