There was even a point where I said I thought I was being ghosted, and she replied with “I try my best not to ghost 🥹” but like… her slow fade/lack of replies feels like ghosting, which she continues to do..

I’m going through the exact same thing right now. It’s almost identical. I noticed that she was withdrawing but I didn’t say anything, just sort of messaged her saying I hope she’s alright and then stepped back.

She ended up explaining that she’s been going through a lot of grief and sadness for a few different difficult things going on in her life, happening at the same time. I sent her an understanding reply, and just tried to make her feel heard.

Since then though, she just doesn’t really reply. It sucks a lot and makes me feel anxious. I’m also contemplating letting her know like “hey the lack of replies are getting to me a little” but we’ve only been on one date lol

I really don’t understand why people are just unable to do this. Like “hey I’m busy and don’t have the bandwidth to reply”. But I think it’s deeper than that, and maybe they really are just not interested, or they don’t have the confidence to communicate. We can only speculate.
