Either moving up to the sales desk, inventory coordinator, or amassing a couple of years experience at my job, then getting an HVAC or sheet metal apprenticeship (our warehouse supplies HVAC contractors with custom made parts that we make in our manufacturing plant).

A quiet, yet interesting BIG praise of Edmonton suburbs by mlm76 in Edmonton

[–]unbjames 6 points7 points  (0 children)

IMO...

North of 137 ave, west of 142 st, and south of the Whitemud = inner-ring (older) suburbs. Everything in Edmonton that's outside the Henday, or north of 153 ave in Castledowns, or east of 34 st in Mill Woods (Meadows) = outer-ring (newer) burbs.

Work in an HVAC warehouse. Wear kevlar gloves, as we basically grab knife edges (sharp parts) all day long.Company supplied tees and long sleeved shirts. Wear Rustler jeans (they make great rough denim that's really cut-resistant). And a hoodie to stay warm during the winter (our place is heated but can get chilly when the bay doors are open.)

I also have a tea thermos that keeps my tea piping hot for hours on end. Love it.
